We love staying at The Ruby and it's sister hotel, The Steamplant. The location is convenient for going to events downtown, the included parking saves quite a bit on parking, and the included breakfast is a great value with delicious, healthy food.

It's a very convenient hotel if you are going to the Knitting Factory for a show. It's not quiet though, they even have earplugs in every room for you to use. It's not their fault though, downtown Spokane is loud at times. The free drinks are cool although I didn't get a chance to use them since we were headed to a bar anyway. The free breakfast is pretty limited, there's a few options that are free but the rest of the menu is 6 bucks off basically so keep that in mind. Parking lot is small and we had to use the overfill lot which was definitely not super convenient. Room was ok but definitely not clean, behind the chair there was some garbage that had been there for awhile. We've stayed several times and this is the first time it's been that dirty. Overall though a pleasant experience

Great location, clean room. One minor annoyance is that while the hotel claims to have a free breakfast and a free drink at the neighboring bar, they don't tell you upfront that there is a mandatory $10/night "entertainment fee" that covers this breakfast and bar visit, whether or not you actually use either of those things.

so everything about the hotel was very nice It was obviously remodeled and it's done in kind of a vintage 50 style The parking lot has a gate that closes at night so even though it's a moderately priced downtown hotel it's done very well and it's a safe location The reception staff is excellent My whole beef is in the room I don't know if they were trying to save money or not but they give you a sheet and then the blanket is probably as thin as the sheet so basically you freeze your ass off all night if you don't mind freezing your ass off it's going to be an awesome stay or if you can remember before you're half asleep ask him to actually give you a blanket

I was unable to check in with my chime credit card even though I called hours prior to check in & the staff who answered the phone literally said yes we accept chime credit cards so basically traveled by greyhound 2 hours away from home to get stranded on the streets of downtown Spokane no where to stay the night also feel completely ripped off by Expedia for being charged $81 to lock in my reservation then another $42 to rebook bc the wrong dates got selected im definitely deleting Expedia NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I BOOK WITH EXPEDIA THEY ROBBED ME OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY AS A SINGLE MOM OF 3 boys
