Washington stays as unique as you are

Accommodation In Washington

In Washington State, you’ll be able to visit two famous American cities, as well as national parks, volcanoes, waterfalls and forests. Washington DC has the White House, the Lincoln Memorial and the National Air and Space Museum, while Seattle is a hip cafe city with a legendary music scene that’s produced – among others - Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana and Pearl Jam. From cities to stunning national parks, snow-capped mountains to rustic farming towns, you can see it all when you book one of our Washington State hotels.

Named after the very first U.S president, Washington is America’s 13th most populated state and the resting place of Kennewick Man, one of the oldest human skeletons ever found.

On top of its thriving music scene, Washington State also gave the world Microsoft computers and Starbucks coffee, two things that might have changed your life, especially if you’re an office worker.

Cities and towns

Start in Washington DC with a tour of the White House gardens. Visit the National Mall - this tree-lined park is the home of the Smithsonian Institute, the Lincoln memorial and the famous Capitol Hill rotunda, and the Washington Monument is the obelisk that towers over it all. Check out the National Air and Space Museum to see all kinds of out-of-this-world sights, like space suits and the Apollo 11 command module.

With Mt. Rainier and the Sky Needle keeping watch over the city, Seattle is the perfect spot to unleash your inner hipster on a coffee shop, or see a live band. You’ll find there’s more to Seattle than grunge, with jazz, indie and hip-hop all flourishing in the dimly lit bars.

You can also visit towns like Walla Walla, known for its many wineries, and Aberdeen, Kurt Cobain’s birthplace.

The natural sights in Washington State have just as much going for them as the cities. Rug up and take an expedition up the snowy slopes of Mt Rainier, Washington’s peak. Admire stunning waterfalls, lakes, mountains and enchanted-looking forests in Olympic National Park or Mt Rainier National park.

Shopping and dining

There are decent-sized shopping malls throughout Washington State, from Burlington to Spokane and beyond. Pioneer Square is a shopping district in Seattle and the location of the very first Starbucks. DC has several shopping neighbourhoods, including Georgetown and the upmarket Chevy Chase, as well as curiosity shops and cool record stores. And since Washington is a huge state, it figures that you can find just about anything you like food-wise, whether it’s a cafe meal, African cuisine or a steak.
