A complete package: being beside the mirror makes a great location. Two bus stops (2 different lines) most convenient and get get anywhere in Singapore. Staff were excellent, especially Paul. He is an asset to your hotel . Only negative comment is regarding air con which automatically went off each evening and our room was hot and hum I’d. Otherwise a great hotel

Room

Pros: Breakfast, Pool, and location
Cons: The room
Location: Good location with a walk down the river to Clarke Quay and Boat Quay
The hotel overall was nice but the room was patched up as if we were put in the old room that is going to be refurbished.

Tired decor

First room was noisy from service lift so moved to a very small room in need of decorating. Local youths adorned outside tables drinking their own booze and very noisy so unable to sit outside at night.

Great Hotel Close to all the main activities...

Pros: It is consistent and the staff are friendly and the service is great.
Cons: One of the few hotels I have stayed where I can honestly say, not much to be improved. It is great value for money and always a pain free stay...
Location: Close to the Great World City, Chinatown and the river
We are regular guests at The Grand Copthorne and would recommend it to anyone. A bustling and vibrant hotel always looking to please. We would also highly recommend paying the extra fee and using the Executive Floor, service and staff are superb! Possibly amongst the best service anywhere in SIngapore!

Room for the nightly rate charged was rundown.

Pros: Not much. Drinks food expensive
Location: River cruise.
Renovations are being done and there was a strong paint or cleaning solvent smell. Cost of room high to the condition was in.

Great hotel, great staff

We have stayed at the Grand Copthorne several times over the last coupled months and can thoroughly recommend it. The staff and service is excellent and it is one of the most consistent hotels for service I have stayed in.

Too far from train station

Pros: Showers were made available after we checked out so we could freshen up before our late night flight.
Cons: Customer service
Location: too far from train stations although that will be rectified when the new line opens in 2021
No towels most days at the Pool. Could only get ice if you paid for room service. Staff favourite saying seemed to be "no but i'll sneak you some" when you wanted something, eg: cup of coffee outside dinner hour. Could only get ice if you paid for room service to bring it to your room. it was against policy for staff to give you ice at the bar. (This has never happened at any other hotel anywhere).
