"Beautiful Resort right on the Beach. "
Griya Santrian is a gorgeous resort located right on the beach in Sanur. The grounds are kept immaculate by staff who are always making sure everything is perfect. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The resort has 3 pools which makes it easy to find a nice quiet spot to relax and have a swim. The beach was kept so clean, swept everyday. No rubbish to be found. The swim up bar was gorgeous - fantastic for a Bintang or Cocktail. The buffet breakfast was brilliant. Always fresh food and plenty of it was a huge variety to suit everyone's taste. Staff were always very helpful. Loved every minute of our 14 day stay here and will definitely be back. Thank you Griya Santrian for a wonderful holiday.

"Nice resort set right on beach"
The front entrance of the resort is quite understated, but once you make your way through the resort you will find how beautiful it is. It has 3 beautiful pools and lovely grounds. There is a great restaurant right on the beach and plenty of places to chill out on the white sand. Highly recommended. I would definitely go back, without kids again. It's not really a great resort for kids as there's no playground or child friendly pools. It's more for those wanting to completely relax and unwind.

"This Hotel is fairly new."
Built in Balinese architectural style, the reception and dining area has a high pitched wood and thatch roof. The rooms are built around a lagoon so that ground floor units open directly to the pool with their own access deck chairs and in the pool seating. Ours was an upper level room with a balcony overlooking the pool. Buffet breakfast is not something to be rushed, Balinese and western food it was more like brunch.

"Luxury accommodation "
The hotel though was a few blocks from the beach was set amongst beautiful lush gardens and surrounds. The 3 bedroom apartment we stayed in was large and met our families needs. The staff were overly friendly, helpful & accommodating to all our needs. The breakfast buffet was a standout but the in house prices for food was expensive.

The main street is Jalan Danau Tamblingan. It has car, motorbike and bicycle rental covered, as well as all the restaurants and shopping you could possibly need. Taxis regularly cruise the street, so simply jump in a cab or follow the paved beachfront path to take in the sights of the town. At fantastic Sanur Beach, try your hand at surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding or paragliding. There are even banana boats available for you to enjoy the calmer waters!

Just north of Sanur, the International Kite Festival takes place in July on Padang Galak Beach. Traditional Balinese giant kites are flown competitively against other villages and some of the kites measure over 10m in length! Marvel at the delights in the Le Mayeur Museum, dedicated to the work of Belgian artist Adrian Jean Le Mayeur. It's situated in his former home after he immigrated to Bali in 1932. Soak in the history of the museum while getting a rare insight into one of Bali's very first expats.

Afternoon walks through the Mangrove Forest are magnificent, with all the information of the 600 hectare reserve available in the local information centre. Two boardwalks take visitors deep into the forest, with guides available to educate both tourist and locals alike on the importance of this environment. The oldest known artifact is in Pura Blanjong (Blanjong Temple) and is an inscription of a Javanese king who visited Bali in the 10th century and established their first formal government.

South of the city, the Serangan Island Turtle Conservation Centre is three kilometres from Sanur. Stop by and learn the current conservation efforts being made now that trade in turtle meat is banned. Ride a bike along the beachfront cycle path. The track extends over five kilometres and is a wonderful way to see the scenery, especially early in the morning when you will be one of the only people awake. And of course, snorkelling and scuba dive trips are abundant. Diving straight off Sanur Beach is not the best in the island, so head to the town and set up a trip with one of the many operators. They'll pick you up from your hotel and take you to the best locations!

Bali is truly a paradise, so book a Sanur hotel and a flight to Bali today and discover the pleasures of Indonesia on your next holiday abroad. You'll come back with a great tan, and endless stories from your trip. Just don't forget to take a bunch of photos!
