Between the bar overflow under your ancient windows and the trolley turn-around thirty feet away, bring all the noise-cancelling gear you can fit into your suitcase Otherwise it's a decent cut rate motel - room bare but spacious, service and internet/cable OK, free parking in back it you get there early, and close to beach.

A bed in a pinch

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the parking was secure. Those were my main conditions. Also, good food within walking distance.

Stayed for 3 nights to attend nearby Outside Lands festival. Room was dated but clean. Unfortunately, we never received cleaning service or fresh bath towels during our entire stay. Could not open windows for fresh air so had to leave front door open for air. The positive? Our 18 years old son said we were just being bougey and that he will try to stay here for the 2026 festival because of its convenient proximity to the event

The room was directly above a bar. It was loud until midnight. My second night the party seemed to move to the room above me and it was loud until 2 am. The smoke alarm in the room started to beep at 5am from the low battery. The room was not very clean. The soap and shampoo dispenser did not work It was not a good choice of a hotel.

Does the job

It’s a bare-bones tourist motel but had everything I needed and nothing I didn’t need. Room was sparse and weirdly shaped but large and well-maintained. You can tell it’s an older building but the ownership has put time and effort into there interiors. Staff was friendly and helpful. The two cons were that parking was limited and the evenings were loud with the metro right nearby, but in my mind that goes with the territory given the older construction and the excellent location.
