We stayed here over a holiday and that might be why our experience was rocky. It took over two hours after check in time to have one of our two rooms ready. There was no offer to help make up for this. The walls are super thin. You can hear everything. Including the DJ at the 3rd floor restaurant that we could hear in our room on the 8th floor and my my parents’ room on the sixth floor was unbearable. There were also over one hundred dollars of extra fees. Just charge more for the room. It is a beautiful property but the staff has there hands full (including a belligerent homeless man in the lobby refusing to leave the couch he was sprawled out on). There is a lack of security past the very kind doorman and valet team and anyone can come up all the way to the rooms. It was not the experience we were hoping for and not family friendly. I will not stay here again or recommend it to others. Disappointed for sure.

The Jay was very aesthetic, clean and staff were very friendly. We loved the spacious size of our room and the sea view. The beds were very comfortable and we had a very good rest during our stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with tasteful interior design.

Pros: nicely decorated, newly remodeled. Service was fast & friendly. Cons: room is a bit small. Large gaps under all room doors on our floor made for a noisy experience. TV service didnt offer local sports (every other hotel we've stayed at in SF has SF Giants & 49ers)

Frankly, this hotel exceeded our expectations. We stayed with family and found the location very convenient, with plenty of nice restaurants nearby. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The outside patio of the 3rd Floor Restaurant was great, and the food was really tasty. Kudos to Nihad at reception, who was very helpful.

Everything from the minute I arrived was fantastic. The front desk was super helpful with arrival and departure logistics. Loved the 3rd Floor outdoor lounge area and fitness center. Can’t wait for an excuse to go back!
