Other than the staff who seemed overworked and understaffed, this place is a money dump and should be avoided at all costs. The quality of food in just about any restaurant is low, and the only place they serve good quality food (the steakhouse) requires 24-hour advance reservations. If you aren’t there by 9 AM the day before, forget about being able to make a reservation. Rooms got cleaned every other day, with only 2 towels for a family of four. Pools weren’t cleaned while we were there for a week, and trying to get a towel for the pool chair felt like the Hunger Games. Getting a seat at the beach or pool required waking up at 5:30 or 6 AM so that you had a place to sit and enjoy your much-deserved vacation. The beach was dirty—plastic debris was everywhere—and forget about swimming due to vegetation that apparently accumulates heavily in that area. Bottom line, as I mentioned, other than the staff who worked their tails off and were still kind, avoid this place at all costs, especially if you don’t want to spend Christmas at this resort. By far the worst place we’ve been to in Cancun. Oh, and you have to beg them to bring water to your room. Every day you had to ask for basic amenities that you’d already paid for—like shower gel, water, towels, etc

Sensira – The Good the Bad and the Ugly Stayed for a week over Christmas 2025. A real mixed bag. Let’s start with the bad and the ugly because there are plenty of posts about the good – and rightly so. Number 1 bad is towels. Unless you got them at 8am or took them back to your room overnight they were impossible to get many days. People were grabbing 6 at a time. Number 2 bad was the adults only French Restaurant. It is only open one night a week and you had to be queuing at 8:30 Friday to get a reservation for Saturday – that’s just about OK. They also didn’t mention when making the reservation that there is a dress code of long pants and no open toed shoes and it says casual in their own restaurant web page – we only found that out from another review and several people were embarrassed at the door. The worst was however that it was fully charged with appetisers $20 Mains $30++ and drinks through the roof. Can’t say it was worth it because we left before the meal, as had several other people and it left a bad taste on our last day. Thirdly it is impossible to get small change for tips. They are shooting their own staff in the foot and embarrassing guests who might otherwise be tipping much more frequently. The only ATM on site dispenses large denomination US dollars only, not Pesos. The lounge bar staff can break a few notes later in the day when they had gathered a lot of tips, but not often. Last moan before the positives – the road is awful. Massive potholes everywhere.

This trip was supposed to be very memorable - I got engaged. We stayed here from 12/24/25 and checked out on 12/28. On the very first day, there was a piping issue. Everytime the water was turned on in the sink, it sounded like a bulldozer. We expressed our complaints to the front desk and they supposedly sent someone up to the room while we weren’t there to have it fixed. The issue was not fixed. The guests next door knocked on our door to fuss about the noise. We constantly complained to the front desk - no resolution. The last night of our stay we went downstairs to complain again and supposedly the manager came out to physically inspect our room, she said they can’t give us another room nor provide a resolution at this point. It literally looked like we were exaggerating or lying. I will emphasize throughout this whole process, people working at the front desk all were rude and didn’t care to help at all. Only good thing about this resort was our bartender at the Pub, Edwin. He is such a sweet man and treated us so warmly.

Staff was great! I do have some comments when it comes to amenities- playroom for kids needs a little update, it is a little dirty and most of toys are not working or missing. Food was good but not much variety, we were there for 9 days and it was the same thing over and over it was good but nothing special, also not many choices for toddlers/kids . The Italian restaurant was really good! Pool/ beach was really nice and clean. Overall it was a nice stay I would recommend it and hopefully we will be back next time we are in Cancun 😊

We had a good vacation at Sensira and went in with low expectations after reading the reviews but this is no more than a 3 star hotel experience. Room: our room was overall ok. It’s a bit worn for not being an old hotel. The beds are comfortable and the room is relatively spacious. However, it wasn’t the most clean. The mirrors were dirty the entire week, the shower had black mold in the corners and smelled of mildew and at times they never came to make our beds / change towels. Pools: Need maintenance. The kids area has very large chips in the floor of the pools which can be dangerous. The main pool in front of the beach is cleaned daily but they weren’t clean. Large hairballs floating and lots of sand in it. Like it’s missing the filtration system. Food / drink: Food was ok overall. Some options were good but the options are spare. They run out of things often. The buffet for lunch and dinner was extremely repetitive and many stations were often empty. The Italian restaurant was terrible. Adult drinks are watered down and by the pool they are almost unbearable. Staff- There are some really hard working staff (Alberto by the pool for sure!) but the place seems understaffed where people have to do multiple jobs and areas are unattended. Kids amenities are nice and perhaps with an overhaul this place can do better but it is not comparable to other resorts and we really felt that they are just cutting corners all around and it is very noticeable.

Our room was beautiful (and spotless), the amenities were excellent, and every member of the staff was fantastic. We would especially like to recognize our two concierges, Rafael and Estefania, who were among the most welcoming and gracious hosts we have encountered. They were attentive, genuinely thoughtful, and wonderfully personable. The food was amazing ( Our favourite restaurant experience at the resort was Galerie de la Sens!) But every restaurant was great.

Overall we had a good time but I probably wouldn't stay here again. Food options are limited. Everything there was fine but I didn't leave feeling like I would want to come here again.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable, staff was friendly. Everything was very kid-friendly. We enjoyed that this is a smaller resort and it didn’t take long to get around. Lots of activities for the kids!
