This property was not as modern as it appears in photos. This includes the bathrooms and bedrooms. Staff varied between being very friendly and accommodating while some were cold and unhelpful. There is almost no soundproofing at this property. The location is great for near Times Square accommodation.

The cleaners barely cleaned daily. We found papers and spills still there after they’d been. They don’t allow food delivery to rooms. You have to go down and get it. But other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Close to all amenities and Time Square

Had an enjoyable stay. Room was small but you were only there to sleep so ok. Felt safe and close to eateries, buses and Broadway

A hotel with potential

Location wise this hotel scores a 10/10. In terms of what would take the Row NYC from average to good or event great is the following: 1. All staff need to be trained in delievering world class customer service - I witnessed a lot of moaning and groaning from staff 2. Bedding should be changed every second day 3. If a guest advises that there is a problem with the room don't brush it off and make excuses, take the time to listen and investigate 4. Think of ways to improve the wait times for the front desk - You have travellers who have been on flights for 15 + hours and the last thing they want to do is wait in line for 15 mins

Good location near Time Square

The worst check in and check out procedures I have ever experienced. One hour to check in and 45 minutes to check out.

Pros: Food hall connected. The staff response when I complained about the noise and discomfort caused by other guests.
Cons: Provide a more private area for computer and printing access. Business centre for example.
Location: Location good if you are keen to be close to Time Sq, Broadway shows and central to go places in that area.
Check in queue was so slow and too long. We booked a double room and was put in a room that was tiny with two very small single beds. Bathroom was so small only one person could stand in at one time with no cupboard space or drawers for makeup etc. On our first night there were loud noisy drunk people and going up and down corridor from 1.00am, I called security by 5.30 am it took them 30 minutes to tell them to be quiet. I complained, got a room change to another floor and was put in a room with two double beds and a huge bathroom. The bathroom alone was bigger than the previous room from the first night. The room was designed for guest in wheelchairs so it was a great size and very comfortable. The Concierge desk ALWAYS busy and you had to queue for assistance. The hotel lobby extremely busy as there is a bar and affordable and a great food hall connected to it. Location good if you are keen to be close to Time Sq, Broadway shows and central to go places in that area. Hotel lobby and lifts were always congested getting in and out of hotel and into lifts, so not the most calm or relaxed environment. Computer access was set up in an open and public area. When doing internet banking and printing there was no privacy.

Very dirty and small rooms

We arrived at 12am and was told no rooms and they will transfer us to another hotel. I have. Young family with two young girls i said no so they gave me a room which was very dirty, blood and urine stains on the toilet. I cleaned it up before allowing my family to touch anything. Got the hotel to give the room that I booked but the room was stil very small and is not kid friendly. I would recommend this to my friends and families.

Hotel overcharged credit card

Wotif site falsely advertises inclusion of WiFi however the hotel will change $20/day for services not provided. Very disappointed to lose $187AU during my stay charged extra to mycredit card without authority

Beware compulsory charges.

We had 2 main complaints. Firstly the air conditioning unit was in the room. Which meant it was noisy and made it difficult to sleep. The second and more irritating complaint was the "compulsory charges" that were added to the bill after we had paid for the room and couldn't back out. After we had paid for the room we were informed that there may be additional charges. When we checked in we were told that these were compulsory charges but were informed that they had already been paid. But when we went to check out we were told they weren't paid and therefore had to be settled. To me it seems disingenuous, if there are compulsory charges they should be included in the cost of the hotel room. I've used wotif multiple times with usually satisfactory results. This has definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth.
