The room was beat up and uncomfortable. The bed was mushy and barely supported. It was radiator heat and the it was sealed up when we got there. The radiator was too small for the room so the room was cold while the radiator clanged and whistled all night. The bathroom was also freezing and the water wasn’t hot enough. The water pressure came and went while it was on to the point the water would just shut off. The staff wasn’t friendly and barely acknowledged us coming and going even with shift changes.

We loved our stay at Hotel St. James and the location was perfect for our trip itinerary! The room was clean and spacious, and staff were friendly during our brief interactions. I will definitely stay here again and am looking forward to our next trip.

Staff were great. The room was mediocre for the cost. Pretty barebones amenities in the room and a shower that would fully stop running whenever someone else in the hotel ran water.

The hotel covers everything needed and doesnt try and trick you into extra charges. The room has wifi and a nice bathroom, they also let you leave bags there. However it is a bit loud cause of its location and the heating, the room is also a bit cold. Our group was walking all day so the noise wasnt an issue.

There was no “amenities” in the hotel room. No hand soap, water bottles, or ability to adjust the temperature in the room for the guest. There was no doorman or help at the entrance of the hotel so anyone could have walked in, which felt rather unsafe in such a busy part of the city. The photos displayed on the website also didn’t match that of the room, our room had no photos on the wall or even a desk to do work during our stay. The water pressure and temperature was incredibly invariable as well, we would loose water during our showers multiple times. Most of these faults could have been overlooked had there been more care dedicated to our stay.
