This place is a gem and I don’t want to give it away! The whole vibe was so cool. From the lobby to the room, it felt like we were back in the 40’s. The dinner was one of the best we had in NYC and the live jazz band topped off the evening. Don’t miss out on the breakfast! We will be back very soon 😊

The room was tiny (my fault for not reading the sq footage) but we made do. It was clean, quiet, good amenities and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great location for sightseeing as it was a short walk from parks, museums, theaters and shops.

The staff is great and very helpful. The 2nd floor restaurant has a lot of charm and I can imagine it’s lovely when the weather is nice and they open the terrace. The location is good if you want to be near the theater district. The one thing I’d knock is the size of the queen bed rooms. NYC hotel rooms are always small. These ones are particularly small, leaving nowhere to unpack, hang clothes, eat anything, put anything on a flat surface. It was still worth it for us as we were traveling with 2 teens and needed one of our rooms to have 2 beds (difficult in NYC and London). Their room was somewhat larger but still small. Be prepared to dig things out of your suitcase each morning. Also, unless you have breakfast included just go grab something from a food cart. It’s a HolidayInn Express level set up and hardly worth the $20 or so they charge. Hang out there later for a coffee or drink instead. There are comments about the elevator being slow and breaking. It’s true, but everyone seemed to manage by using the service elevator and crowding in. So…all in all definitely not perfect but okay if you just need a place to sleep with a nice staff in a good location.
