Convenient location and inexpensive. These are the main two positives about this hotel. The breakfast is pathetic and there are only two people serving it. One is making waffles, the other one is restocking and cleaning up. You need to set your expectations very low or you will be disappointed. There are only 2 elevators that are fit for about 10 people, but are meant for 6. We had to take an elevator up to go down, otherwise the elevators always came full. Overall, it was an OK stay, but we didn’t expect a Four Seasons, so it met our expectations.

First of all, I would like to express my appreciation to the hotel staff for accommodating my request. My first stay in New York was a positive experience. One of the key advantages of this hotel is that it does not charge a facility fee, unlike many other hotels in the area. This transparency in pricing is highly appreciated, as it eliminates unexpected additional charges. The hotel is well-maintained and situated in a convenient location, close to major attractions and within easy access to the subway. The provision of a hot breakfast is a significant benefit, especially for visitors to New York. We stayed on the 32nd floor and experienced no issues with the elevators throughout our stay. The hotel staff deserves special recognition for their professionalism and dedication. They responded promptly to requests and consistently provided the necessary support. As for cleanliness, it appears that a basic level of room cleaning is standard practice in the United States.

Great place to stay to be near Times Square. Area around the hotel felt safe and lively - lots of nearby food and shopping. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy. Our one issue was that we clogged the toilet, and it took over an hour for someone to come up and plunge it. Turns out when you press the button on the phone for 'front desk' it actually sends you to an answering service that relays the message to the front desk. Once I went downstairs and talked to the actual person at the desk it was resolved quickly. Unfortunately, it didn't get logged in the system, so maintenance woke us up the next day wanting to fix it again.

**A Hidden Gem in the Heart of NYC!** The Hampton Inn Manhattan is truly a treasure in the middle of New York City. From the moment we checked in to the moment we left, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Both the team members who handled our check-in and check-out were professional, friendly, and demonstrated outstanding customer service. A special shoutout to the gentleman managing breakfast on the morning of the 12th—his cheerful attitude and attentiveness stood out. He made sure everyone felt welcome and got exactly what they needed. This kind of service makes a stay memorable. Highly recommended!

Good hotel, walking distance to Port Authority and other transportation. Very good breakfast. The hotel is a bit dated. The towels can be renewed. Had issues with room keys not working and had to go back and forth from 28 floor to recharge them. Overall, recommend this hotel.

Awful experience

My experience was not that good. It’s the first time I stay at a Hampton Inn that Dow not meet the expectations. Personal was not friendly, as a matter of fact, it seems to me that they are not people friendly. The room was to small. The shower head awful and the breakfast area a total disaster with trash everywhere and no enough hands to keep up with it. And let me not forget that I saw house keeper and other personnel around and they were not friendly at all, not even to say good morning. Not friendly when ask about options for parking and transportation. Will not recommended at all. Jose Rivera

Just an okay stay

We choose to stay at this property because of the location and that they advertised having a roll in wheelchair accessible shower. The location was good and we were able to walk where we needed. However the wheelchair accessibility needs some work. This is an older property but the hallways and gathering spaces are bairly wide enough to accommodate a chair. There are only 2 small elevators to service 32 floors and it is very long time to wait for an elevator with enough space for a person in a chair. Our room was on the 32nd floor so the only option was to use the elevators. In our accessible room the set up did not meet the needs of a person with limited mobility. A person using a chair would struggle mightly to access this room without help. However, if there are other people staying in the room then a parked chair will block the bathroom door. It is almost impossible to open the bathroom door because the wheelchair must be parked in front of it. The bed is so close to the wall that a person in a chair can only transfer into bed on the side of the bathroom door. In the bathroom the shower is roll-in but a person with accessibility needs can not reach the shower head or the temperature (on/off) handles once seated. Showering becomes a two person job to adjust the water and hold the shower head. There is no where to set the head down without spraying the whole room while the water is on, nor can you turn it off.
