Staff was very nice but hotel itself is very dated and a little rundown. Major staining around the bathtub and outlets were very inconvenient to use to charge anything. Limited seating in the room, chairs were used from the balcony. Breakfast was very sparce. Just bagels and cereal and fruit.

This hotel helped me turn what could’ve been a disaster of a vacation into a decent few days in Nanaimo and area. The Nanaimo Harbour is right across the street and Nanaimo Old City Quarter is a ten minute walk south. The building is older and there’s a busy highway on one side and I could tell when my neighbours were showering but the building was clean and the outside was tidy. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The water pressure beat the dirt off my skull and we never ran out of hot water. The complimentary breakfast is simple but efficient and the breakfast room is kept tidy and well stocked until closing. In the lobby, I took advantage of the ice water jug to fill water bottles for the day and in the evenings used the hot water from the carafe for tea. The front desk staff were kind enough to open the breakfast room so I could get decaf tea in the evenings. Overall, it was a great experience and I would stay here again.

Room 114 was good. Bed and pillows very comfy. Coffee pot was dirty and when I rinsed it had a dark old coffee colour come out of it meaning it hasn’t been cleaned, but a nice staff member cleaned it instantly for me and she was very nice! All staff were amazing Breakfast was disappointing, hard boiled eggs were old tasting, but at least there was food Always having coffee and tea was a plus!

The staff were really great! The room was very clean and much nicer than we ever expected. The water was hot and towels were clean and soft. Bed wasvery comfy. We really enjoyed our stay. The building is older but despite that the staff do an excellent job of making sure it is clean and comfortable for the guests. The area isn't pretty but it's only 15min walk into the Nanaimo core. Very convenient. Also was a 30min walk from the ferries so very convenient for us as we didnt bring a vehicle this time. Would definitely book here again. Thank you!!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful experience at Travelodge. The service was excellent and I felt very comfortable during my stay. The receptionist was especially kind and helpful — she explained everything clearly and assisted me a lot with my room. Her friendly attitude made my stay even better.
