This hotel is the perfect location for walking to many shops, restaurants, and attractions in the Old Port, yet it’s also very quiet and comfortable. The hardwood floors make the rooms extra clean and the windows in the rooms open to let in fresh air. The staff is extremely committed to making sure you have a great experience. The cherry on top is the complimentary breakfast that is delivered to your room each morning!

Breakfast is far from "gourmet" but if you have no other options it's not the worst thing I've had. Wifi was also very slow with a spotty connection. Other than those the hotel is in a great location and well managed.

This hotel is an absolute delight!

Our stay at the Hotel Bonaparte was absolutely lovely. While we did not eat at the hotel's restaurant, we can honestly say everything else about this hotel was excellent. The front desk staff were top notch - so efficient, professional, friendly, and welcoming. We liked the hotel so much that we decided to stay an extra night, which involved us checking out and leaving our luggage in the concierge room while we went out for breakfast. No sooner had we received our coffee at breakfast, we were telephoned by the hotel to say that our new room was already ready! Both of our rooms were lovely and we would be pleased to stay in either of them again. They were spacious and beautifully decorated and clean, modern bathrooms with rainfall shower heads. The beds were very comfortable, and the little basket of continental breakfast waiting outside our door every morning was a lovely touch - just enough to satisfy us while we drank the complimentary coffee in our room and plan where we might like to go for breakfast/brunch/lunch later. We are already planning to book again for the same time next year! Don't miss this little gem in Old Montreal!

I've been traveling to Montreal for 25 years and Hotel Bonaparte is by far my favorite place I've stayed. Perfect location in the heart of Old Montreal but somehow quiet, with beautiful comfortable rooms. Fantastic continental breakfast included in room every morning takes the stress out of figuring out where to eat. And the best part (for me) is that there are gluten free options!! As someone who has no choice but to eat gf, finding breakfast foods is the hardest part of traveling. Hotel Bonaparte gave me a fresh gluten free croissant every morning, along with fruit, yogurt, etc. This alone puts them above every other place I've stayed in any country. There is also an excellent French restaurant attached to the hotel, where we had dinner one night. Delicious. And incredibly good gf options there as well. I seriously love this hotel. Now that I've found it, I'll never stay anywhere else in Montreal. Fantastic staff too.

Lovely boutique hotel in a great location.

Hotel Bonaparte is a lovely little hotel in a fantastic location. All staff members were friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed with a spacious fridge and security safe included. We had an amazing meal in the restaurant; we chose the tasting menu and all courses were well presented and delicious. We were delighted to receive a free cocktaIl each as we were residents of the hotel.

Everything was good but the female front desk that checked me in never offered me any welcome drink but did to other guests. Basically everyone except us. I hope that is not because that we are not Caucasian guests as we are in year 2025. It’s kinda odd and a bit questionable in my opinion. However housekeeping did a very good job. Parking staff were excellent. Thomas, at the front desk was extremely kind and enthusiasm to help me navigating the area. Amazing location and city view from window.

Lovely hotel

We enjoyed this hotel very much. The bed was very comfortable, the rooms were large and it was quiet (with the exception of some lively children in the floor above.) the restaurant was fantastic with lovely service. Check in was pleasant and helpful. There is no real breakfast which is the only thing that would make this place perfect. They deliver a little basket of items, most of which I don’t eat. But there are plenty of places nearby for croissants and coffee. Unfortunately at check out we discovered our cars tire had been slashed! The hotel desk person (Manon) was extremely helpful and their technician helped change the tire and advised us where to get it fixed before our long drive home. We had a mix up with the valet key in the middle of the tire changing, but it turned out to be our fault. All in all, highly recommended!
