The check-in took quite a long time with a fairly short line. There was quite a bit of upselling which isn't the most fun thing to go through after a long flight. However, the stay was excellent. The food was great. Rooms were modern and nice. The showers were a bit cold unless you kept them on for 15 minutes. The property was walkable which was nice. The variety of pools was great as was the staff. Other than a couple very minor things the overall stay was excellent.

I stayed at this resort to attend a destination wedding for one of my close friends. The only reason that I gave the resort 4 stars instead of 5 is because I only stayed for 2 days so I feel that my stay wasn't long enough for me to truly give an honest review. However, I will say that the staff was very friendly and attentive to the needs of the guests. The food was really good; I ate at a total of 3 restaurants during my stay. Transportation was easy to set up to and from the airport. Please note that there is a $50 fee for transportation that isn't included in the price of the room/reservation and you must reserve it 72 hours prior to your scheduled departure. I would recommend this property to others. Lastly, please note that March is around the end of the winter in Mexico. I packed shorts and tank tops and it was chilly with wind. This is a beautiful property with excellent service! I wish they wouldn’t pressure you immediately when you arrive about the membership. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

Loved the shows at the show room and lobby. I did not like that the bands that play at the lobby only play for one hour or less. Left us wanting more every night.

I regret booking Hard Rock Los Cabos. This was one of the worst resort experiences I’ve ever had. First, the location is awful. It’s far from the city center, completely isolated, and if you want to go anywhere, be prepared to spend a fortune. They don’t allow Ubers to pick you up inside the property, which forces you to take their overpriced taxis that cost three times as much. And even then, taxis aren’t readily available. You have to wait at least 10-15 minutes, even if you call ahead. The night before my departure, I scheduled a taxi for 7:45 AM. I was in the lobby exactly on time, only to find out they hadn’t even called the taxi yet. Since when do guests have to wait for a service instead of the other way around? After over 12 hours of traveling, the last thing I wanted was a sales pitch. But that’s exactly what I got. No welcome drink, not even a glass of water—just an aggressive timeshare pitch as soon as I walked in. Before I could even get to my room, they were already trying to sell me a membership. I felt like a sales target rather than a guest. The food was absolutely terrible. It was bland, low-quality, and barely edible. To make things worse, I got food poisoning on my very first night. The staff was mediocre at best. Extremely noisy at all hours. You can’t even get an afternoon nap without rock music in the background right off your balcony. Go take your money elsewhere. Because unless you’re a member of spending a fortune on their rooms service isn’t great.

Would have given it 5 stars but there were two turnoffs: we were tired after a long flight. The check in process was fine but standing behind us the whole time was someone from a company called Legendary that apparently has an arrangement with the Hard Rock. After getting our bracelets, the counter rep told us that he was here to help us get oriented with the property. Started out that way but then quickly pivoted to a hard sell. Awful persistence in wanting us to go to some 2 hour breakfast to hear his pitch for a vacation club or time share. Almost impossible to say no to this guy. Pressed and pressed. To get him to stop, in our exhaustion, we agreed. The next day, I left them a note to cancel but to no avail. For the next 3 days they would call our room! And I had to avoid this guy at every turn. Almost ruined the experience of this wonderful resort. The harassment repeated upon check out. Another representative came to us knowing that we had just checked out (the front desk gives them a manifest)!!!! And again tried hard selling us on another vacation package. Come on Hard Rock! Stop with this hard-press upsell crap. No one wants it. It's petty. Now for the positives: the staff is super friendly and very attentive. 10 stars for the staff! The resort is excellent with breathtaking (at least our room was) views of the ocean and hundreds of whales passing by. Amazing. The grounds are super clean and well kept. The pools and hot tubs are fantastic. YOU CANNOT SWIM IN THIS
