Would not apply spa credit

The stay was amazing. The hotel was amazing. It would have been a perfect vacation however, we love spa treatments. This booking was advertised as having a $150 spa credit. I communicated with the hotel prior to the trip about the credit, and booked a treatment. As I was checking out, they would not give me the credit. They said I couldn’t use my credit because the spa package I booked was a “special” which wouldn’t allow me the use the credit.

It was a beautiful property. It's very secluded. The restaurants were never full but claimed to be too full for reservations. The timing that restaurants were open was tough since we aren't huge eaters. The "spa credits" that we were going to get weren't applicable unless you were buying the most expensive packages. It's a beautiful place to stay but there were some catches. I was also frustrated that my pre arrival form wasn't received and transportation was difficult to obtain from the airport along with other choices I had made in my form. If they hadn't received my form you would think they would have made more than one attempt to reach me but apparently not.

The resort was beautiful, our room was super spacious and clean, and the staff were very professional and friendly. We had a great time. Few things - if you stay at the Nobu, I strongly recommend renting a car!! There is nothing nearby, about 30 mins drive away from town, and having a car will make it a lot more convenient since Ubers can’t enter the resort and it’s a long way from the gate to the resort entrance (not walkable), and cab fees add up fast. They have free valet parking at the resort. Also keep in mind room service/restaurants at the resort are way overpriced, so having a car provides more flexibility to go out late at night for dinner/late night snacks. Overall we had a great time!

The property is beautiful. It was a lot more people at the resort this time around me visiting. The food options can be better. Parking should be clarified what’s allowed and not allowed prior to booking at this resort. Last time I stayed at Nobu a year ago I had more options as far as transportation in/out of the resort. This time.. not so much and it would be much appreciated if what’s allowed as far as taxi, uber, private transportation and pricing upon booking!

The main issue we had at this place was the roaches by the fridge and the hotel response to it. First, they came in with chemicals to spray the entire room even though we have to sleep there smelling the toxic chemicals. On check out we were given $100 credit which was an insult given how much we spent there. Upon our return to the USA, we had to take all our clothes to dry cleaners and trash the luggages as we were afraid we would bring roaches or their eggs with us. Over all the resort is very nice. The food is amazing. The drinks are nothing short of price gouging. The cheapest wine is $33 (US$) for half of glass for some nameless wine and the price goes up from there. The nearest city is 30 min by a taxi that cost $44 one way. I recommend to pick up wine or drinks from the airport. If you go to the city, and you are allergic to bees, bring an extra epi pen and Benadryl. Too many bees to count. The food at the hotel is excellent. It’s 5* plus. It is worth the cost. Service is excellent. The beach is unuseable- waves and currents ……it’s not a place to enjoy the beach. It’s a place to relax and enjoy the resort. The rooms are very big and there is a couch that can be used as a bed so it’s great for families. It’s a very safe place and well secured.

Beautiful property with top notch quality throughout. Safe, quiet and great options for excursions. Entire staff was polite and friendly as well as respectful. Special shout out to Jesus who took amazing care of us daily at the Cortez pool.
