Decent Experience

I want to give this hotel credit because it’s clear that they were really trying. The decorations/style and vibe that they are going for were that of a trendy, boho boutique hotel. Every employee that I interacted with was incredibly nice and welcoming. The pool area was disappointing: the pool is actually a very large hot tub and they don’t get the best sun exposure. The “restaurant” had a very limited menu for breakfast. I’m vegan so I couldn’t get anything, but my husband ordered eggs and they came out runny. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. I think we got what we paid for when it comes to price.

We all have different standards, but anyone that can rate this property with less than 5 stars has extremely high standards. This hotel is wonderful and the best customer service I’ve experienced in a very long time. Gerald at the front desk is amazing. The Romer House Waikiki has everything needed for a great stay! It's walkable to the beach, all of Waikiki's bars and restaurants, and wonderful shopping. For those wishing for less hoopla and quieter time, The Romer House features a wonderful izakaya style restaurant and daily activities for guests on site.

Everyone was really nice but Joseph at the front desk was exceptional. He would be one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Overall great hotel. Close to shops, food and the beach. If you have a rental car, use valet it's worth it.

This property is adults only. Gerald at the front desk was very courteous, professional and kindly upgraded us to a Luxe room, affording us more space and comfort. Gerald also explained the three credits available to us through Beach Candy (beach chairs, unbrella, SUPs etc.) next to their sister property, Twin Fin, opposite Waikiki Beach. The heated pool and bar on the second floor is a nice amenity.

The room was so small it was like living in a Closet. The TV only worked half the time of our stay. The Valet parking charge is too much at $55 a day. No shower door. Will not stay here again.

This hotel was stylish and the location was super convenient to shopping and beach. It can get a little noisy due to the other guests, some who were there to party late.

Cleaning service was not great (didn’t replace supplies); rooms facing the street were noisy. Bathroom showers need better glass to prevent water from showers getting all over the bathroom.
