"Wonderful retreat"
Beautiful location surrounded by trees with great views. Friendly helpful staff, the room has everything you could anticipate you would need. Great local community and shops. Make a reservation at three little pigs for dinner - best dining experience I have ever had. The only downside is the cabins are very close together and the balconys look into each other and into the opposite cabins room so we had to keep the blinds closed. The cabins share a wall and you can here everything, however with respectful neighbours this isn't a huge problem. if the cabins were better separated this would be perfect.

Pethers Rainforest Retreat

28b Geissmann Street, North Tamborine - Map
"Relaxing, but more attention to detail please."
We stayed for one night for my partner's birthday. The room was delightful with 5 metre high ceilings and direct views of the rainforest. Bed was comfortable and room was well equipped with T2 tea and local coffee facilities. We indulged in an in room spa treatment which was simply amazing. One let down would be the lack of air conditioning. I didn't read the features close enough when booking and unfortunately it was a 37 degree day. However, easily soothed with cold drinks and spa. We stayed in #1 Tree house which was very private, but if we tried we could easily see our nude neighbours in #2. For the price I paid for the room, I would expect a little more attention to detail. Not things that are worth causing a huge fuss over: 1. The previous guests turned the bar fridge down to '1' which caused it to melt and smell. This also caused the welcome champagne to be warm. Staff could have checked when replenishing & also provided an ice bucket. 2. The Epsom salts next to the spa were wet and the cardboard was gross and falling apart. 3. There was some confusion with reception as I was sent an invoice 'meant for Wotif' which lead me to believe I was charged twice for the room & massages. Multiple calls and checking of various credit card statement resolved the issue. A little disappointing as the stress from this little issue undid any bit of relaxation I had from my stay.

Lisson Grove Boutique Resort & Day Spa - North Tamborine Hotels

Lisson Grove Boutique Resort & Day Spa

274 - 280 Main Western Road, North Tamborine - Map
"Wilderness Wonderland"
Lisson Grove is amazing, the scenery both in the resort itself, as well as close surrounding areas are magnificent and I can't wait to go back. We started our stay in the Abbey Cottage, however I personally found the bed too hard and couldn't sleep, so we got moved to the Gamekeepers Cottage, which had a much softer bed and was able to get a great night's sleep the last two nights. The Gamekeepers Cottage also is the only cottage with a veranda, which is handy if you happen to be a smoker, as it was quite a wet stay, as well as cold. Would recommend to anyone who likes the mountains, rainforests, cold weather etc.

It was amazing place for a couples get away, We arrived late and Cheryl the owner waited for us to arrive and even had the Heating going in our castle room for comfort. The Breakfasts again simply amazing and the fact they called us each morning to be sure we were ready for it prior to bringing it down tot he room and setting up the table. Then there was the day Spa well we highly recommend using this facility as it is just next door to the room and a real treat to relax and then return to your room without traveling or walking far. All in All great place and we will be back

Booked a lagoon room through Wotif. Arrived to find out no rooms available matching my request (apparently because this was a third party "Wotif" booking) so staff member upgraded us to a superior room (lounge room as well as bedroom) at no extra cost. Fabulous hotel with incredible ambience. Jazz piano and trio all Saturday afternoon and evening. Simply the best. Only gripe was no milk in the fridge for tea making.

    Why book with Wotif ?

    Gold Coast Boutique Accommodation

It’s not called the Gold Coast because it’s ho-hum, so-so or average. It’s the Gold Coast because it’s the standard all other Aussie beach towns are held to (plus, could you imagine how few people would travel to a place called the Tin Coast?).

As far as finding a place to rest your head when vacationing along the Pacific shore in Queensland goes, the gold standard belongs to Gold Coast boutique hotels. You’ll enjoy amazing amenities, superior service and luxurious lodging along Australia’s best beachfront.

The Utmost of the Gold Coast

Does your ideal holiday itinerary consist of fits of jealousy, screaming at the top of your lungs while hanging upside down, getting lost and pitting your skills against those of a wild animal? Say no more: The Gold Coast has you covered. Grab a spot on the beach at Surfers Paradise to watch the wave warriors perform tricks that would lay you up in hospital for a week if you tried to pull them off.

Next, visit one of the area theme parks to find out which roller coaster pairs best with beer and burgers. Get off the grid with a hike on one of Gold Coast’s tranquil trails. Or—and we highly recommend trying this—challenge a koala to see who can exert the least amount of energy for an entire day. Our money’s on you…show that koala kook who’s boss!

A Toast to the Gold Coast

As much as we like to fill our getaways with action and adventure, we still need to eat a meal or two. If you’re lucky, you can combine your eating with other activities. Take Surfers Paradise, for example. Watch the rippers pummel the pipeline while sipping on a pint at Seascape Restaurant and Bar. Or get your courage up for the thrill rides at the amusement parks with an ale (or two) at a craft beer pub like Burleigh Brewing Company.

Basically, just eat, drink and be merry—all three go together like sun, sand and sea.

What Are the Best Boutique Hotels in the Gold Coast?

Not only do boutique Gold Coast hotels feature the finest amenities, they also provide highly personalised service to their guests. Here are some of our favourite digs in the area:

    • QT Gold Coast – The QT stands out from other boutique hotels in Gold Coast, and for very good reason—it was designed to. Find another hotel that combines the best of Baja, the magic of Miami Beach and the poshness of Paris, and we’ll show you a hotel that stole the QT’s vibe, décor and style.
    • Lisson Grove Boutique Resort – Whether you’re looking for a secluded hideaway for a romantic retreat, or a quiet getaway from the city and the shore, Lisson Grove—near Tambourine Mountain—is an ideal option. Each self-contained luxury country cottage is your private paradise in the Gold Coast highlands.

Head straight to Wotif to book Gold Coast boutique accommodation. You’ll find great deals on hotels throughout the area—and with the money you save, you can buy a beach hammock and all those other supplies you’ll need to show that koala the real meaning of “lazy afternoon”.
