We stayed at the Weston for a week with the all inclusive package. Overall, it was a good experience but we wouldn’t go back. Most of the staff was very friendly and the facility is clean. The food is good, but there are only two restaurants and a snack bar/grill near the pool, so there are not a lot of options. Even though we had all inclusive, we literally had to sign a bill after every meal, every drink, everything. We had to consistently sit there and wait for the waiter to bring the zero sum bill so we could leave. One time we got sick of waiting and just left, only to be chased down by the waiter for us to sign a bill with a zero balance. In the morning there is one place to get coffee and it’s across the property in a separate building. It’s the same place that they’re serving the breakfast buffet. We took a breakfast pastry a few mornings to take back to our room with coffee, only to be eventually told that we couldn’t do that. Lastly, there is no entertainment. No evening shows, yard games, music around the pool, nothing. If you like to do more than lay in the sun and drink, it’s easy to get bored. The snorkeling is good right off the shore, so that was nice. Again, overall it was good but I’ve been to many other all inclusive a that are much better.

The Westin was a disappointment to my family. We arrived the first of March. We first noticed the unpleasant odor in the lobby. The smell was stale. The rooms were very bare. We noticed minimal effort for comfort. However, we must say the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant choices were very limited. One restaurant and two poolside areas were available until 4pm. The one and only restaurant opened at 6pm. Each night was a different theme meal. The beach was nice with very good snorkeling. Depending on expectations, the Westing would be okay for those with plans to do other activities outside of the resort, would be okay. For our family, it was much less than what we had hoped for.

I had very high hopes for this property and it started off strong. The fish tacos and ceviche at Gaviotas restaurant were amazing. But entering the facility there was a strong sewage smell in the lobby. The beach was stunning and the staff pretty friendly. As my stay progressed it became apparent that the Westin has a lot of work to do in the areas of transparency when it comes to charges so a guest is not blindsided . The food at the cozumil restaurant was terrible, bland pizza and pasta.

Our stay at The Westin was everything and more. The staff was amazing and so friendly, very attentive. Las Gaviotas reataurant and staff was AMAZING. We got to know all the staff and became friendly along our trip. Some names that stood out to us were Paloma, and Jorge at Las Gaviotas. The baretenders in the hotel Facundo and Carlos were some of the friendliest and nicest people we had met! I highly recommend The Westin to anyone and would recommend the All Inclusive Package. Thank you again to the wonderful staff for being so welcoming!!!

The property is absolutely gorgeous, and very serene. The rooms & surroundings were always clean and very comfortable. Three things - NOT complaints but points for the resort to be aware of. The lobby has an odd smell, which is odd because our home base resorts always smell so amazing. The food for dinner is just okay, not bad but not tons of options on the menu, but also not great. Last but very important - The adult pool on the roof needs to ALWAYS be an adult pool. One of the days we were up there we had to listen to a screaming child. All families really should be on one (lower) floor, we heard crying children through our walls 4 out of 5 of the nights. We will be back, the property is very stunning and checks off all of our boxes for a great vacation!

Nice hotel with amazing rooms and friendly service

Rooms are very, very nice, view from the rooms is excellent and staff is really friendly. Beds are AMAZING. There's an actual stretch of sandy beach and snorkelling in front of the hotel is very nice. There is a problem with smell in the lobby. It's not bad, but you can tell they're trying to fight it. We tried only the breakfast buffet which is OK, we didn't stay for dinner in the hotel, there are very good options right across the street.

It was our 5th time staying in Cozumel, first time north of centro. Loved it! Cabs into town $10 each way, food at Westin was excellent Snorkelling outside the hotel was amazing! Clean rooms, AC was great. No issues Did not want to go home today
