The room was small, but nice. We had hot water in the sink , but not in the shower. Room temperature water at best. AC was fine, extra cold. The resort was easily walkable. Not too big. All staff was friendly and helpful. Overall the food was just OK. I liked the hibachi meal the best. Pools were clean. Beach was beautiful! We had a few days were the sargassum seaweed came in, and the staff were great about trying to clean it up!

Everything from the arrival stay and departure was absolutely 100% wonderful. Dining options were great The beach and pools were clean very picturesque. Huge shout out to the staff you guys are awesome. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the AC in the room. I definitely recommend also a top contender for repeat vacation spot.

This place had very limited options to eat at buffet. They don’t allow you to make reservations at their specialty restaurants. They only allow you to eat at one restaurant your entire stay. The buffet definitely did not cater to kids as they did not have food that they would eat. The restaurant also does not have air conditioning so you are sweating the entire time. Our room did not have a working fridge and a/c was very poor. I would not stay here again as we spent way too much money to be disappointed. Also the service could be better. The hostess were not very friendly. So if you are looking for a place that has decent food and a place that is comfortable then this is not it. The only positive thing I can say was the beach was very nice and we were able to enjoy that as they try to keep seaweed clean.

Propeety grounds were beautiful. Our upstairs room (# 1523) stayed cool, but I heard of others having a hard time getting their room to cool off. The food was nothing to brag about. We didnt go hungry, but it was not good. The dinner buffet was comparable to Wester Sizzlin's worst day. The lunch buffet was not very good either. The breakfast buffet was the best of the three. For their "specialty" restaurants, you are only allowed one meal for every three days stay. Reserve those as soon as you can! We waited a couple of days and were only able to reserve the Mexican restaurant. It was okay, no complaints on it. We heard the Oriental restaurant was really good, but they didnt have any availability when we went to reserve the restaurants. (Aagain, reserve your restaurant ASAP). The taco stand across the road and down a little bit was AMAZING! FOOD WAS VERY GOOD! I would highly recommend going there. The place is a little sketchy looking, and we seen a bat flying around inside, but the food was good! Haha! This would be a perfect place for little kids (minus the food situation), as the pools, and games that they do throughout the day, were great. If you are a diver, the location is great as well. They have a peer that the dive boats can pick you up from. There is a per day, per person fee to use the dock. One day we went and it was a $5.00 per person, another day it was $15 per person. These fees are in addition to the "excursion" that you are doing. 3 out of 5 stars

I have been alternating going to the Allegro and another resort located in the south for the past 10 years. This is a great resort. The food is always good, the staff is friendly, there is a nice beach, and the area is well maintained. Though I go mainly for the diving, this resort would still be my choice even if I wasn’t diving. It is quiet and peaceful. It is further away from town, so you’d have to take a taxi, if going to town is what you enjoy doing. I just like coming here to relax and not be busy with a full itinerary.

Este hotel es el peor que me quedado. El buffet está horrible, no tiene nada de sabor la comida siempre fría. El restaurante del buffet no tiene aire acondicionado todo mundo estamos ahí sudando cuando estamos comiendo, toda la gente se limpia el sudor de la cara con la servilleta porque no se aguanta el calor. Los postres que ponen en el buffet se están derritiendo todos por el inmenso calor que hace. En el lobby, Tampoco hay aire acondicionado. Yo me enferme del estómago por la comida, ponen unas carnes horribles, duras y frías. A mi esposo le salió en el arroz un pedazo de metal muy duro, ya casi se quebraba una muela, lo reportamos con el supervisor del restaurante y sólo nos dijieron que lo sentían que Iván a tomar acción sobre este incidente. Tienen un mal servicio de meseros, siempre están platicando y riéndose entre ellos y no atienden muy bien a los clientes. El servicio en la playa es terrible, la chica que reparte las bebidas solo les ofrece servicio alas personas que ella quiere. Aparte las bebidas están muy malas, las sodas no tiene nada de gas. De verdad, no les recomiendo este hotel. Solo dos cosas positivas hay, la playa, y los shows en la noche. De ahí para allá todo lo demás está terrible!

We had a great stay last week at the Allegro! The grounds were clean and the staff was very nice, especially David and the whole entertainment crew. We also did a lot of scuba diving and the staff at Pro Dive International were excellent. The diving conditions were perfect and the staff there was so accommodating, especially Mika who was very patient with my children who were new divers. We will definitely stay here again!

Had a wonderful time here! Great snorkeling! We did scooters from across the street, and a jeep (jimmy) tour that was absolutely amazing! We stayed 4 nights, so were only allotted one specialty dining. But only one night had room for all 9 of us ( or even 4 and 5 separate). Desk told me 730pm. We get there, and the host was rude yelling saying we were an hour late. We ALL heard it said 730 not 630. That was the only downfall. We could not try any specialty dining.

If you are looking for a small resort this is your place! Everything was a very short walk from our room. The room was clean, food was good, pools were beautiful, staff was excellent especially the pool and beach wait staff they work so hard much appreciation for these great services! The beach was so peaceful.

Super bien atendidos. Los animadores, David y Juan Diego te mantienen activo con todo tipo de actividades. Inclusive tuvimos una clase con el barista Sergio "Tenoch", quien es muy amable por cierto, de mixologia. La playa hermosa y limpia. En general un excelente servicio. El unico inconveniente, es que no cuentan con habitacion de cortesia para quienes sus vuelos salen tarde.

Everything was wonderful. Unfortunately the food was a big disappointment. MUNDANE buffet same food everyday. I was not able to get into the nicer dining options they were all booked and no assistance to make a reservation was offered other than try next day at front desk.

Property is very nice and the staff is excellent. I'd have given five stars except the dinner had a long wait (20 minutes in line) one night and the check in process and time was not ideal.
