Let’s just say, if it wasn’t for the beach. This resort would get a negative 0. It is in such bad shape. Needs to be knocked down and rebuilt. It’s so dirty and outdated. The water from shower and sink smell like sewer water. The food was the same food, day after day. And, not many options at all. The beach and grounds of the resort are all it has going for it. The mosquitoes are so bad here. No fault of the resort, but they could spray something out there for their guests. Or provide some repellent. So I highly recommend you to take some. Unfortunately I will never ever stay at this resort again. Unless they renovate.

Clean rooms. Beach was short distance from the room. Several pools available. Beach was clean with plenty of chairs all day and palm tree shade- the cleaning crew removed small amount of sargasso early in the morning. Beach bar was available al day and the lady that served was polite and tireless. Fuji restaurant was magnificent- best experience with such an amazing chef cooking hibachi style.

The propeerty was clean. We were ina premium suite so we had one of the nicer locations and rooms. The food at the buffet was below average. It was room temperature at best. Also, the Italian restaurant was very weak.The lasagna was 2 layer and mostly cheese sauce. I would not have known it was lasagna other than that is what they called it on the menu. I am used to 7 layer with some firmness to it. This was soft and mushy. I ordered the t-bone. It was very thin 1/4 inch thick and tough. I didn't finish it. The Japanese place was good and they put on a nice show. The little premium room had the same food as the buffet with not as big a selection, but at least they kept it warm. ALSO. --- The premium level guests had a pink bracelet. This is to distinguish them from the other guests, especially at the premium only pool. They allow "Members", people who bought time share things, to go there also. That is fine. But, the members and the regular guests both have white bracelets. They say "First Club" on the memebers and Allegro on the regular guests, but you cannot tell without looking closely. I am pretty sure we had some regular guests at the premium pool, but you cannot tell them apart. the 'Members' need to have a third color.

Allegro cozumel needs to be updated. The second floor room’s ceiling is a hut with a net and when it rains, it rains in the room, room was changed to ground level but ants get in the room and other bugs. The food is horrible and the policy for reserving a table for dinner is simply ridiculous. I give this Allegro Cozumel a 2 out of 10!

My 16 & 18 year old refused to eat until they were starving. The buffet was horrific! Very limited choices. The grill was typically good. The Oriental Restaurant was off the hook - Delicious! Only allowed to dine there once. We ate at the Italiano Restaurant, which was just as bad as the buffet but less choices. Food is a huge part of the vacation; therefore, very disappointing. We ended up spending a lot of money taking the taxi into town to eat at a real restaurant. The beach was phenomenal - beautiful. Although, not allowed on the beach after dark due to crocodiles. Pool area was nice & people hosting games were fun & nice. People at the dive shop were awesome. Spent 3 days scuba diving in paradise. The shows were fine - nothing exciting. The mariachi band on the beach was wonderful. ATM didn’t work - so bring enough cash for tips. Upon arrival, they gave us a wheelchair accessible room where there was no divider between the toilet and the shower. I asked to change rooms - she argued with me that all the rooms were the same and that they didn’t have any other rooms. I had to wait for the manager & she finally switched our rooms. No concern with the simple room but the fridge didn’t work. Although, they kept it stocked with drinks. If the food had been decent, I would have given the place 4 stars. I stayed at the Occidental Resort (Allegro sister resort) next door 2 years ago and the food was good - many more choices. Allegro has work to do on the food.

Be careful for food poisoning

It took 1 hour to check in although there was only 2-3 groups in front of me. The food was ok, not fantastic. But they told me that we cannot book an individual restaurant if we stay less than 4 nights(it was not stated in website). My husband got food poisoning here and had terrible condition for 3 days. The water from tap tastes rust. The guys at front desk will friendly approach you but only wants to sell you vacation package and it takes half day to listen although they say only 90min.

Beautiful clean resort resort, excellent beach. Amazing landscaping! Dining options are limited and only a few restaurants available but overall it has been a great vacation!

Unless you’re living tip, no one will serve you. Just to get water bottles in the room I needed to tip. Forget about the refrigerator, it didn’t work. So everything to drink was warm.

My family and I had a great time at Allegro Conzumel. The entertainment staff JD, Diego, Jesus, and Abley were amazing. We usually don’t do activities when we travel but they were so engaging, respectful and professional towards everyone that even the oldest participated. Which they gave the nickname “abuela” she loved it! We definitely recommend visiting this resort!!

The area was beautiful and the beach was very nice! When snorkeling you can see multiple fish including stingrays. The food was not amazing but it always had something that fulfilled us! All the staff were absolutely great and so kind. Only complaints I have are: - there was a hole in the palapa/ceiling of our room that, when it rained, allowed water to drip onto the floor onto our items. It was reported to the management but was never fixed. We stayed there 6 nights and it rained 3 days so it was annoying to deal with. - we went three days without able to get fresh pool towels. Normally I wouldn’t complain about this but it’s so humid there that they don’t dry quickly like you’d expect. So three days we were lugging around moist heavy towels. Again, not the end of the world but still expected more. - we booked multiple excursions through the hotel that were amazing! But the people doing the tours are REALLY pushy about buying photos from their “photographer”. They don’t take no for an answer and that bothered me. We had a a lot of fun on each excursion- bring cash for tips as everyone requested and expected tips at the end of each one.
