5 restaurants and nowhere close to enough seating. Every time we tried, we had to wait for close to 2 hours, so we settled for the mediocre buffet options. Pool bars closed at 5:00. Ridiculous!

The property was nice.Not very well lit at night so walking was hard.Not a lot of variety of food at the buffet same repetitive food every day I wouldn’t really consider it buffet. if you dine at one of the restaurants when you left there, you had to go to the buffet very very limited portions in the restaurants. The drinks were subpar.We never got coffee pods in our room.The maker was there asked several time for coffee never got any.Lack of nightly entertainment for a adult only resort.Beach towels.If you did not get one when you first seen them filling the bins you did not get one for the day.When asked for one we were told they were filling the bins 3 hours later still no towels.A lot of returning guest told us it was going down hill food,drinks,service.Nice people but would not return.Oh we ordered room service one night we could not get into the 1 open restaurant we called at 9pm we were told 45mins..ok had to deal with that or go hungry well at 2:15am the knocked on our door with the food we ordered at 9pm.needless to say my husband was NOT happy .

The room was dirty and not as advertised. The food was inedible and the staff was unhelpful. A maintenance worker walked into our room unannounced to “check the water” which made us feel uncomfortable because he knocked once and immediately opened the door without waiting for us to let him in. The room wasn’t stocked upon arrival. We checked out after 2 hours to go to a different resort and they promised a full refund but still none has been initiated. Very disappointed.

I had the oceanfront preffered pool plunge room ( a pool on the balcony) room 1445. A $3500.00 price for five nights.Super nice room. Here comes the problems...This is an older property that's under a renovations Dust everywhere. The elevator didn't work. So we climbed up 3-4 flights EVERYDAY. One day the phone didn't work so we couldn't order room service. They fixed that. Then one morning the water DIDN'T work. Yes, the water didn't work!!!! I called down it was turned on after 20 minutes or so but the water was never really hot after that. Now this last one takes the cake. We arrived at our room at about 11pm & our keys didn't work. Long story short they had to drill a hole into the door to gain access. That took about a hour. I'd had enough & complained to the property manager (Nelly) & the hotel refunded $1400.00. I read the reviews before I book a trip but you honesty don't know until you get there & have your own experience. For this to be a Secrets it's pretty underwhelming. No more than 3 stars.

I was not impress with the room, supposed to be a junior suite ocean view but it was small, on the 4th floor and the elevator was damaged, the door did not work either, card keys did not open, one day we have no Air Conditioning, the room was almos 80*F, it took them morevthan 12h to fix it, another day without hot water, they refused to give us another room !!! The Hotel need URGENT maintance and upgrades !!

Cons- the bathroom drains emitted a foul odor that would come and go. Lobby is not as fancy as others we’ve been to. Entertainment is a bit lacking. Time share/membership sales are very pushy if you show a slight interest. We sat to hear their pitch just to get the $300 credit- at our final no, they got rude. The last guy (they sendi different guys to try to change your mind) told us “next time, don’t agree to hear their speil” like we wasted Their time! Lol! I told him, “ perhsps you shouldn’t try to entice the guests with the free credits! Pros- we got a free snorkeling and sunset cruise for hearing out their pushy sales pitch. Clean rooms- bed comfortable-great beach- great snorkeling-love the pier for jumping off. Pier is convenient for pick up to the excursions we took. All the other staff were very friendly and helpful.

Property was nice overall as well as the staff. My room which was in the preferred area was really nice. Mini bar was lacking and they provided a bottle of champagne, bottle of run, and Merlot which neither of them I drink. Maybe ask me next time. The food was very good but not excellent. Nightly events were just OK. The app for the property was a little challenging.

It was awful. We left after 2 nights. We are fighting for a partial refund. If you like disgusting, moldy hotels this is the one for you.
Moldy plumbing closet that connects to the room
Water for plumbing closet that leaks constantly and into the walls of the room. Hence mold.

We expected more for a Secrets Resort. The resort is old and run down looking. Restaurants were closed some days. The sushi restaurant wasn’t open because they didn’t have a chef. The Bordeaux restaurant had excellent food and great service. The resort was only about 25 to 30% full so it was very quiet everywhere - like nobody around by 9 pm. There is not a nice bar to hang out in the evenings. We like entertainment around the pool and music, other than constant elevator/lounge music. When we went to the Sky Bar, which has a beautiful view, but not always a bar tender, there were often only 2-4 other people there. One positive was there were no lineups for food or drinks ever! The beach area was nice and you could get chairs. We made the most of our vacation and had fun anyways, but it was not at all what we were expecting. Other people we talked to were also very disappointed and some had no hot water in their rooms. We definitely would not go back there.

Pipes were busted, I had no hot water for 3 days, no water at all for a day, the resort overall did not live up to secrets reputation, staff were nice at least, but I wouldn’t go back, The beach was nice, water clear. Layout of resort confusing too.

Area is beautiful with great beach, however, jelly fish right off shore for multiple days with NO warning! Wife was stung & swelled up ruined our beach time. Pool is unheated & cold, so not enjoyable, made swim-out pool room pointless. Shower did not have any hot water. Room was dirty. toilet, shower handle, & closet door all broken. Never attended to throughout the stay. Sales pitch with “90 minute” duration doubled & no easy answer out of it without hassle. All labor workers VERY friendly, but bad management. Was ready to checkout & leave early!

No hot water, room we booked said it had a soaking tub but there was no tub, room smelled like mold, facilities need MAJOR REMODEL, Several restaurants were closed throughout our stay, resort app was NOT user friendly and if spotty. BEACHES ARE BEAUTIFUL and Staff are very kind
