This property is old and the process of doing upgrades, but the bathrooms are open window to outside, windows do not close, so you have to close the bathroom door to keep the mosquitos out. There were 2 bugs in my bed, so I requested a new room. Tue next room was cleaner and no bugs in between the sheets this time. They said the would take the resort fees off of my bill… but they said upon checkout that they needed my card to fix a mistake on my bill and they added the resort fees to my bill last minute. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but the food at their restaurant was too pricey for the quality. The hot tub was not hot, but the jets worked.

The listing promised access to a beach club, which was a major reason for my booking. However, the bridge to the beach is under construction, and access was completely blocked. This was not disclosed beforehand, and I feel this significantly affected my stay. I’m requesting a full refund due to the missing amenity. Please let me know the next steps. Almost There, But Missing Key Details Check-in at Casa Del Mar was smooth and friendly—but no one provided any information about the property. I wasn’t told about breakfast, the beach across the street, towel locations, or how to navigate with the nearby bridge closure. The bar area lacked atmosphere—outdated TVs playing soccer and no music. It felt uninviting. A simple switch to Caribbean music and something like cucumber water in the lobby would go a long way. The menu also needs updating. It looks like something from a high school cafeteria and doesn’t reflect the quality of the food. I’ve stayed here before and know the food is good—the menu just doesn’t do it justice. That said, the room was clean and comfortable, the elevator is a great addition, and there’s plenty of parking. Casa Del Mar is close to being a standout, but it needs better communication, ambiance, and presentation to match similar hotels like Blue Angel or B Unique.

Comfortable, clean and convenient. The pool area was nice and the little "beach" area had shade, another little pool, and a safe snorkeling area. The air conditioning was a blessing. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We also rented a car from the hotel which was very convenient and easy.

Would like to be able to go to the beach before 12:30. That is a wasted day when I have to wait until after noon. Also had to pay $200-$300 dollars to enter a different beach resort and not get compensated for it. Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Great location and friendly staff. Our room was clean and spacious with a view of the ocean. Couldn't quite see the sunsets from our balcony because of trees, but great sunsets from the pool deck and private beach across the street. Yes the building is getting on, but so am I. Plenty of parking for our scooter, and close to most of the beach clubs.
