This is a lovely little gem on Cozumel—very laid-back and family-style. The property is run by a very friendly and attentive owner who is often on-site, which made the stay feel safe and welcoming. The location is excellent: walkable to the ferry terminal, main transportation areas, and many restaurants. My room was small and very basic, but the peaceful courtyard was beautiful and really the highlight of the stay. Overall, it’s a great place if you’re visiting the island for a night or two and want something simple, quiet, and well located.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The owner truly went above and beyond to make my visit enjoyable—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The place itself is basic but has everything you need, and it’s impressively quiet and clean. A great choice if you’re looking for simplicity and exceptional hospitality. A great location walkable to all the restaurants, hot water and air conditioning work great.

Great location for walking into town and eating at local restaurants. Only 6 min walk from the ferry and very easy to catch a taxi to beaches, dive centers, and the airport. Teresa was very kind and welcoming. We would definitely stay again!

Just a one night stay so had minimal expecations, but also didnt find anything disappointing. Only comment worth mentioning, it was pouring rain when we got back to the room and I guess we dripped a bit of water on the floor, as i stepped out of the washroom I managed to slip and fall pretty badly smashing my shin on the bed.

We loved our stay at Casa del Solar, and will definitely be back! Theresa, the owner, is fantastic. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and the small courtyard perfect for reading and relaxing.
