Graham was friendly and helpful. The units are quite old but our Apartment (#18) was refurbished and fully equipped. The balcony screen door was hard to close but we were told it is being replaced. On the whole, a great place to stay for 5 days.

Kirra Surf Apartments

2 Creek Street, Coolangatta - Map
"Quiet spot, great views, nice rooms, lovely staff."
This was my second stay at Kirra Surf, the first time I stayed with girlfriends, this time I took my family. It's lovely to be able to whale watch from your balcony and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The spa bath is a good size so even a tall person can enjoy. The beds were comfortable and there are blankets available if it gets chilly. The aircon in our room was very quiet which was great at night. Gas cooking hob is great, and the array of dishes, plates & glasses was good. Could use a few more basic cutlery items, such as knives and forks though. Kids loved the heated pool, even had a swim on a cold evening. Restaurant downstairs is handy if you don't feel like driving or walking to Kirra or Coolangatta. A couple of negatives: The parking spaces in the basement are quite cramped, as in many of these types of buildings. We ended up parking outside as we couldn't park in our designated parking spot easily or get in or out of the car as there was a large SUV and a small wall on either side. If you have a large car, consider parking upstairs. The rubber gym floor seemed to make our shoes slippery on the gym equipment which is a bit dangerous.
