The building and street are exactly what we were looking for. It felt very safe. Parking was always available. The lake is further away than we expected but just a few blocks away. Everything we wanted to do was just about a 15 minute drive away. The area is also very bikeable. Be sure to read some of the history of the building when entering the mudroom! We didn’t realize we’re on the basement level but the addition of the back patio and garden access was a plus. No worries about carrying luggage up the stairs. Getting into the front door is a little tight. Space was very clean, cozy, and modern! The addition of the space heater and fan was definitely appreciated. The coffee maker is a little tricky, but worked when water reservoir is full. The kitchen windows were gorgeous! Love the original shutters! The shower was luxurious!!! A couple of the ceiling shower heads didn’t work but the STEAM was a treat! Host was very responsive and friendly! She even left us a sweet welcome amenity to celebrate our 15 year anniversary! We definitely recommend staying here for a great way experience and explore Chicago!!!
