Adelaide Pinera Station accommodation from AU$148

Nice space on the edge of the city so I had a more peaceful night’s sleep than the one before in the middle of the city. Post box for post cards was a couple of blocks to the right out the front door.

Hotel was great, staff were friendly. Recommendation of bar to stay open a little later for hotel guests

The hotel is perfectly situated and has a great deal of potential. The majority of our experience with the hotel was positive from check in to the door person , however the house keeping department needs to lift its standards to match the rest of the hotel experience. We noted that the hallway carpet and the area around the lifts wasn't vacuumed for days leaving debris in the same spots without any of the cleaning staff noticing this obvious detail. There was a plastic wrapper also on the carpet outside a room which remained there for days. These are the kind of details that a sharp eye and good training in 5-Star hospitality should pick up immediately. When a sign is left on a door to refresh a room during a stay it needs to be attended to and not left to the guest to call and request late in the day after all the other rooms have been cleaned. It's at the leadership level in house keeping to ensure all occupied rooms are refreshed daily the staff are simply following directions, but do need to take initiative and responsibility for detail.
