Arrive at this charming resort set among a backdrop of vivid green palms. Get comfortable in the tropical setting and feel the worries of home disappear. Put on your swimsuit and enjoy the beach or immerse yourself in the warm lagoon. Learn to sail a catamaran in the gentle trade winds or snorkel over the colorful reefs to see an amazing selection of fish.
Experienced divers or those wanting to learn should head to the scuba center for lessons and guided dives. Thrill-seeking surfers meanwhile can experience some of the best waves in the Pacific Ocean just a 20-minute boat ride from the resort.
Book a spot on one of the island-hopping charters that regularly depart from the marina. Reserve a boat for game fishing or dolphin spotting safaris.
For a slower-paced afternoon, the Makare Wellness Spa is the place to go. Put your feet up and drift to sleep with the sound of gently breaking waves in the background. Treat yourself to a massage or body treatment from one of the expert staff.
With your mind and body rejuvenated, drink a cocktail at the majestic floating bar and admire the spectacular sunset before you return to shore for dinner. Select from five separate restaurants that serve a range of local and international cuisine. Eat grilled seafood caught just feet from the beach and a side of succulent vegetables handpicked at the island’s own farm.
Musket Cove is on the western coast of Malolo Lailai Island, 12 miles (20 kilometers) from the mainland. Take the resort’s high-speed ferry from Denarau Marina with optional pick-up from your hotel in Nadi. It is also possible to fly from Nadi directly to the island’s airstrip.
