Paid over $160 for 2 rooms. my sick sister was given a dumpy musty room way down the back. with a bendy door one could easily kick in. Yet we paid less and got a better room. We had to complain to have her moved to the front area near us. We were quizzed at breakfast, if we were entitled to eat there. We left behind 3 clothing items and have not been contacted about them, so assume someone is now enjoying them. In addition the price is too high for the quality of accomodation, and I emailed the business 3 times asking for an airport pick up, as it is offered, but no response came, so we had to pay for a taxi., so unimpressed! Carolyn Pritchard. This is my second visit here, the first was more hospitable!!!

I had a terrible experience with Wailoaloa Beach Resort Fiji and I would never recommend this resort to anyone. There were cockroaches overhead of my bed at curtains. The toilet flush was not working, the sewage of bathroom for water flow was getting blocked while taking shower. There were no blankets in room and when I asked for they gave me torn blanket. Also, the staff was friendly and caring. They offered me a nice tea as I was suffering from severe cough.

Nice grounds & pool, good size room.

Pros: The grounds, reception, eating areas, pool, and the size of the room.
Cons: Menu choices, being made to feel welcome,e.g. by assisting you to your room, or even some non-business chit chat, to make you feel comfortable.
Location: The location is close to Nadi, and we were able to get a taxi easily.
It was a bit unfortunate that there were people still making noise after two in the morning, and we had had a big day of travel. It would have been great to have tea and coffee facilities in the room, which we had available in a lot cheaper accommodation that we had stayed in on this trip. The room was full of ants (it had been raining), but they ended up all through our suitcases and were over the bench top. The shower was very nice and had good pressure, however, the toilet kept blocking and we had to keep flushing every couple of minutes. I think with a couple of minor changes this could be a great spot, for example, there were four very good options for dinner, but maybe just one or two light meals that can be made at short notice, such as toasted sandwiches or wedges/samosas?

You get what you pay for

Pretty happy with the staff there, pleasant and nice to talk to, attentive to guests needs. Continental breakfast is for free for the duration of our stay. Toast, porridge, fresh fruit, tea, juice and coffee come as standard everyday, with croissant, sausages, eggs and baked beans in alternate days. Dinner served at reasonable price with a few choices (lamb, prawn, chicken, fish&chips). Took a bit long to cook tho. The room that we stayed in was a family room that has a double bed and three singles. Limited TV channels, some ants crawling, no room service/changing linen for the duration of our stay (3 nights). Air con worked fine. My kids loved the swimming pool. Only drawback is that we fed the mosquitos too well while having dinner/breakfast at the dining area :( The planes do fly very low above the hotel but its limited to the day time, did not affect my sleep at night. Generally a good experience with the resort.

You pay what you get

Pros: The natural environment and friendly staff. reasonable price
Cons: it would be good to have internet in the room
Location: beach, small restaurants and bar
Apart from not having wifi in the room, wifi available in the lobby, I was generally happy to stay in the hotel. The staff was very friendly.

Handy for the airport

We only needed an overnight stay before our flight and found this hotel a good choice. Lovely meal in their restaurant and a clean, comfortable room. They paid for our taxi transfer to the airport and ensured it came on time for us.

central location

Pros: The hotel was quiet. mostly local customers. No rowdy young singles.
Cons: customer service was lacking.
Location: short bus or taxi ride to Nadi
We had arranged pick up from air port but they forgot to come and get us. we had to get a taxi. There was no apology or reimbursement. We had booked a poolside room but they gave us a room on 1st floor away from the pool.... again, no apology or other solution offered. the food on offer in the restaurant was limited but delicious, healthy and excellent value for money!!

Cheap and misleading

Pros: general location and layout are fine , just needs a lot of TLC and staff training on customer relations . Special mention to Ruth however excepional
Cons: The website needs major update , site does NOT have gym , bike hire, gift shop, ATM, nightly entertainment (1 night low key Cava night), manager
Location: location is OK 10-15 stroll to beach at Smugglers with 2 fairly new restaurants and supermarket on way , 20 minute walk back to Nadi town ,
Pre arranged free shuttle not at airport to meet me on arrival , took a couple of calls from man at airport information desk to hotel for them to turn up ( approx 75 minutes later) no apology. Booked into "superior room" heaps of malfunctions in particular door wouldnt close/lock from inside . Inquired at reception for fix or upgrade ; no go from this person , so asked to speak to manager , she was out back shortly. Almost 3 hours later I went back to reception to be told that manager had knocked off for the day !!! After a bit of a "chat" I convinced receptionist to move me to another room , upgraded with no additional cost , this room was better but still quite a few minor problems . Note here that the manager NEVER did contact me during my 9 day stay . Breakfast standards improved as the week went by ,Monday and Tuesday were awful , running out of basics like tea, jam, brown bread ( my stay included 2 Mondays and Tuesdays , both times consistently bad) , Wednesday better and rest of week was actually very good. Next day requested a blanket for my bed , the look I got you would have thought I'd asked her to cut her hand off , also took over 4 hours to be given a pool towel , reception told me to see room service and they referred me back to reception , planes not problem at night but barking dogs are This hotel and most off the staff employed here does NOT represent the true Fiji way , ie happy , pleasant and will go that extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one

Nice Budget Motel closer to the Air Port

Pros: Food is cheaper and Good.
Cons: If you are a cat lover, there are couple of cats roaming around in the restaurant area.
Location: It's about 20 min drive from the Air Port hotel transfers are available, check at the reservation. Budget motel.
This is more like a Motel. There is a Pool, Kids were very happy to have a dip in the kids pool. There is a beach close by, which is across the road about I think good 20 mins walk or you can catch a Taxi from the motel.

older facilities, poor lighting in room.

Pros: Price, but in hindsight money wasn't saved because I had to cancel work when back home due to being sick.
Cons: Lighting, clean grout in bathrooms, right taps hot/cold, hygienic safe food.
Location: close to airport.
Ordered tandoori chicken for dinner, its was nearly cold, 24 hrs later I suffered severe vomiting, diarrhoea, fever and aches. 2 others ordered the fish, they are fine. We drank bottled water, so I'm 100% sure it was the food. The shower taps hot and cold were around the wrong way, older rooms. Bring insect repellent, we were getting bitten in the restaurant.
