Cloud 9 Fiji

Participating in watersports, sunbathing, sipping cocktails and eating pizza on the sea are the big attractions at this floating restaurant in a Fijian archipelago.

Take a short boat trip to Cloud 9, an oasis in the ocean that features a bar, pizzeria and sundeck, and offers a range of watersports activities. This two-level floating platform of fun and relaxation is located in a beautiful spot at the Roro Reef among Fiji's Mamanuca Islands.

Treat yourself to hours of fun on, in and under the water. Enjoy a swim in the clear blue-green sea and rent snorkeling gear to explore the Pacific Ocean's subaquatic world. Ride a Jet Ski to the tiny Monuriki Island where parts of the Tom Hanks movie Castaway were filmed. Power through the water at high speed on a jetboard or flyboard and soar overhead on a parasailing adventure.

When you are back on the platform, order drinks and dine on pizza baked in a wood-fired oven. Choose from food suitable for vegetarian, non-vegetarian and gluten-free diets. Visitors are not permitted to bring their own food. Cash is not accepted on the platform; all payments must be made by credit card. After your meal, relax on a sun lounger or hanging chair on one of the decks and marvel at the magnificent sea views.

The venue also hosts parties with music by a roster of international DJs and is available for private rental for special events. Book your destination wedding here.

Cloud 9 takes pride in its environmental performance. Notice the solar panels that allow the float to have a position of zero carbon emissions.

There are several ways to reach the floating attraction, including a 45-minute boat ride from Port Denarau on Denarau Island or a 15-minute speedboat ride from Musket Cove Island Resort on Malolo Island. You can also arrive by seaplane. Cloud 9 is open daily, weather permitting. However, you need to book your visit in advance. This can be done via Cloud 9’s website or at their booth at Denarau Marina. Note that although the aquatic attraction is accessible for wheelchair users, the two onboard toilets are not adapted for disabled users.
