There was an electric cook top and small sink in the bedroom but no mirror, however in the bathroom which was tiny, there was a toilet and mirror, but no sink!!!.............Go figure!.

Trip to Vic

Great location, we could see the water from our window. Reasonably priced for area. Really clean and in good condition for an older hotel. Lots of charm. It’s a bit noisy (people, vehicles, seagulls) because of location, but found the AC was good at covering some of that noise, especially at night. Toilet/plumbing would randomly make noises throughout the day, but not big deal. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel, although not new by any means, was clean, safe, and extremely convenient. It's in the middle of all the things you want to see. Staff were very helpful and respectful. I recommend!

Bed not very comfortable. Duvet centre only comes ⅔ of way up bed. Had to put air conditioning on to drown our street noise but would not keep room cool enough.

We really liked the location of the Bedford and the bar attached to the hotel. We had a nice room, but I think that the space could be drastically improved by having the peach paint be the same as the yellow ceilings. That colour is beautiful. The super tiny fridge on the floor was very awkward, and the television was also located in a strange place and was very small. Making all of the lightbulbs the same temperature would be very beneficial. The cold white light was very harsh in comparison to the other bulbs.

Convenient location to stay if you are downtown Victoria. Amenities are inconvenient at this property (no air conditioning available, and the sink (within room) is at terrible location and size. Has a distinctive smell within the room all 4 days we resided there.

We had like a mini suite booked. Had 2 large windows over looking the water and could see float planes, the little put-put boats, and ferries coming and going. Right on Government Street with shops, resturants, etc right there. Had nice large modernized bathroom. Had 2 leather chairs in front of the fireplace (non-working though). QUIET

There is no air conditioner. Thankfully the nights were cool but the windows still had to be open. Unfortunately there is an Irish pub approximately 10 m from the open windows. Loud music blared until after 1 am each night. It’s possible that another room would have been better. But unfortunately the choice of rooms is a difficult arrangement. If I stay here again (and I may very possibly stay here again), I’ll make sure I’m in a room opposite the pub.

It was a great experience staying at the Bedford Hotel. It’s located in a very good area where you can easily walk around to explore the town and do some shopping. The room was comfortable and the overall atmosphere was charming. I only suggest checking the toilet plumbing after flushing, there was a loud noise while the tank was refilling. It wasn’t a big issue, but fixing it could make the stay even better.

The location was convenient, parking was a little tedious especially during the day. The beds were hard, unconformable for side sleepers like us. The shower/tub faucet was a learning curve. The A/C randomly shut off unprompted with the heat it was unbearably muggy with the weather outside. It was a nice stay overall
