Man was I hoping to love this place, however it fell short in a few areas. 1. It was freezer, there was no heat, we asked the staff for a heater however they brought us a fan instead thus sleeping with our hoodies and pants on. Also we noted silverfish in our room as well. The positives are - the staff was extremely nice, they honour the history of the building and it’s like you’re in a time capsule of history the common area was impeccably clean and welcoming.

Beautiful old building. Very nicely kept with a magnificent view of craigdorroch castle. Quiet neighbourhood with a special feel of stately charm owing to the large old homes and well kept properties. If you like a castle tour and old architecture this is for you.

The Guesthouse is in a lovely old neighbourhood about a 20 minute walk from the Inner Harbour. Craigdarroch Castle is next door and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is close by. The decor is traditional and you can pay $10 for a traditional egg and bacon breakfast with a warm croissant and jam. There is also a guests' kitchen where you refrigerate or store food.

This is a wonderful guesthouse right by Craigdarroch Castle and a 30 minute walk downtown (or take the bus). As long as you don’t mind carrying your luggage up many stairs. The guest kitchen & use of laundry an added plus.
