I recently stayed at the Grand Park Hotel in Richmond and, unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. While the location is convenient — with plenty of restaurants within walking distance — and the complimentary airport shuttle is a nice touch, the positives end there. The hotel’s cleanliness was only average at best, which is not what I expected for the price. There were no bottles of water provided in the room, something that most hotels now consider a basic amenity. Check-in was also slow, and the front desk staff were not friendly or welcoming, which set a negative tone right from the start. Overall, I would not choose to stay here again unless improvements are made.

The bedding was substandard, the sheets didn't cover the mattress at your feet. The quilt felt very used. There was hair in the bathroom in the tub, ceiling and floor. The Bath towel quality were substandard.

Grateful that I was able to use the free shuttle to get to the hotel, and on-site restaurant to order a quick meal, before my (very early) flight the next morning. Shuttle was a bit delayed, which was disappointing, but otherwise a great stay!

Expressing my extreme disappointment regarding a recent interaction I had with a member of your front desk staff on Saturday,Nov 22, 2025 around 1:00 PM. I am a travel agent and was checking in to pick up keys for my clients. The experience was unacceptable. When I presented my temporary BC Driver's License, the receptionist claimed it was expired, while the driver license expires next year and insisted I provide a photo ID, which I immediately did. However, after I received the keys, she proceeded to accuse me, stating, "I know you and you always park in their parking lot." I clarified that I had just received the keys for my clients and would be leaving right away, but she insisted multiple times, "You ALWAYS park in our parking lot!!!" This accusation was entirely inappropriate and ridiculous. When I requested her name, she refused to provide it. There is another receptionist whose name is Mary, and she is good.

I often go out of my way to write positive reviews and have very rarely posted negative ones. This old, unkept hotel falsely advertised EV charger(s) on-site, staff were unhelpful and the room was dirty. The lobby makes it look nice but the rest of the building is old and unkept. I booked this hotel only because it advertised having an EV charger on-site. It was 30 minutes out of my way but the convenience of overnight charging given my long drives for both days was worth it. After checking in and asking where the charger was, I was given directions but then found both charges had been removed. The staff had no idea and offered no solution or compensation after I explained it was the sole reason for me booking there and I would be unable to make the drives each day as a result. In addition to this the bathroom was gross. The shower had not been cleaned and still had previous guests hair on the wall, in the basin and on the glass.There was still dried soap from previous showers on the walls and glass. There were pubic hairs around the toilet and hairs on and in the sink. The bathroom floor was filthy, and the room appeared unvacuumed. The cheap keurig coffee maker didn't work either. After a long day, I had only 4 hours to sleep before needing to wake at 3am to get ready and go find a charger with enough time to fully charge the vehicle. I cancelled the next nights stay and had to find new accommodation which was quite stressful. So disappointing!
