A compassionate and empathetic host.
Due to a medical emergency, I never made it to this property, which may leave you wondering, "So why is this guy leaving a review?" It's because I wanted to share that the host took my extenuating circumstances into consideration to give me a refund, despite not purchasing trip protection. Life threw me a MASSIVE curveball, but I'm incredibly grateful that the host was able to give me a refund, which I'll be using for medical bills. I hate that it resulted in a few days of lost revenue for the host, but their consideration shows that they really care about the people staying on their property. I did rate the communication as subpar, because I'm not entirely sure that the messages are monitored once a reservation has been completed. However, the customer support team was top notch, and was able to get in touch with the host, and they responded almost immediately.
I mean this as genuinely as possible, but thank you to the customer support and the host for showing kindness and empathy during a whopper of an emergency.
Finally, I rated the cleanliness, etc. based on others experiences, and the photos. Just want to be completely transparent about that. However, I used to life in San Francisco, and know this neighborhood. It's an absolute delight. Just far away enough from everything for a quite experience, but close enough to easy transportation and nearby amenities. In other words, very, very walkable.
