No official restaurant and bar that is open most hours. Construction in the main lobby took away the ambiance.

Great location, past it’s best
The hotel seems a little tired. Our room was a grand deluxe/premium city view room but in all honesty I’m not sure what was grand about it. No robes, no slippers, no extra pillows, no magazines, no special touches…fortunately wifi was included or else 15 bucks a day. Breakfast sadly was not included and at 40 bucks for the most basic buffet per person (really low grade food), it’s extortionate. A pity because this could be a great hotel. One nice touch was the complimentary tickets for the cable car. But I’d rather the room was better to be honest.

Had a good experience overall, the friendly staff and concierge gave us great recommendations for food and things to do around the area. The rooms seem a little dated but the housekeepers kept it clean. With it being located in Union Square, a lot of food options to choose from. I’d stay here again if I came back to SF.
