Good quality at reasonable price

Surprisingly quality hotel at a very reasonable price. Room was a little tight but comfortable, clean and in great condition. Location at Union Square is excellent. Would stay there again

The location is great, within walking distance to Union Square and Chinatown, and right at the doorstep of the cable car. The staff are very friendly. Some units are located at the back and require using a different elevator, which is a bit inconvenient. Overall, it's still excellent.

I always have a great stay at the Handlery. Staff is great, rooms are clean and the water pressure is fantastic! Close to everything in Union Square.

The smell was so strong of old decaying motel SO badly we almost just left and payed the fee. Atrocious. Staff was odd but kind. But so am I lol. House cleaning tapping on doors loudly in a thin walled hotel saying HOSUECLEANING! then spoke no English at all when I asked for coffee and sugar if they had any. Woke up to that or earlier from hotel noise and barely slept all weekend except the first night. I slept 7 whole hours then. Worth $650 for 4 nights in downtown SF, but I won’t be staying there again. I’d pay more for a better hotel. Continental breakfast, soft bed, normal smell… all absent. All in all… a good deal if ur on a budget but if you can afford a little more, I’d stay somewhere else.
