The location is good for shopping and proximity to other areas however, it is quite drab and not well-kept around the streets. Property itself is in significant need of a facelift, nonetheless clean and comfortable.

Enjoy staying here close to Union Square. Best part is balcony options. I get claustrophobic when there are no window openings

Possibly, my last stay here
I’ve stayed here plenty of times and it’s always been wonderful. This time, it sucked. I got tinny room and wasn’t crazy about the location. Still, I went upon my day. Around 8:30 pm, i decided to shower and turn on the heater l. As it was really cold a rainy. Thats when I realized the heater didn’t work. They sent someone to check on it and I was correct. It was broken. They want to switch me to a different room but it was late and I had already unpacked. They said they would send up a heater. Below is what they gave me. When I asked the manager what I’m supposed to do with that. He said “plug it in and turn it on to warm.” Then hung up on me. That’s when I decided to switch rooms. It really sucked and ruined my evening. The next day was no better and I checked out a night early. Don’t know if I will go back again. Below is a picture of what they sent to my room. Huge fire hazard too

Took several hours for our bags to be delivered to our room. Had to walk back to the front desk twice to ask. The second time, they didn't know where the bags were. I had to follow security to the basement to make sure they weren't stolen. Was told the bellman was new. But the basement parking and surrounding area didn't feel safe. Worried our bags had wandered off the premises. Other than this, we enjoyed our stay. Felt like old SF.
