Stanyan Park Hotel is such a gem. We were looking for a hotel within walking distance of Golden Gate Park, public transportation, and fine dining - and found it! Lovely decor, very clean, and friendly staff. We loved the wine and snacks at 5:00, and the continental breakfast offered a variety of items. The neighborhood felt safe and the restored homes are lovely. We will definitely return.

We stayed in one of the suites with a bedroom and a pullout couch. Great for our family of 4 staying in the area for a wedding. The location of this amazing historic hotel is one of a kind. It let us live like locals.

Our first time, and this hotel will now be our go-to. Exceptionally friendly staff. Upgraded us to a lovely suite. Immaculately clean (even if the style is a bit grandma’s house). Nice bed linens and new towels. The location is perfect, walking distance to cute restaurants and across the street from the beautiful park.

Loved it! Rooms are very small which should be expected for an historic inn. Breakfast and happy hour were both good and easy. Several parking options also available. Definitely a European Inn vibe. I will definitely be back.

We stayed for a visit to UCSF medical. When procedure delays occurred, the management and staff went out of their way to accommodate us and give us a good stay! Staff are friendly, location is excellent. Very quiet area of San Francisco right next to Golden Gate Park, but it's 2 blocks from muni so you can get downtown (or almost anywhere else) in about 15 minutes. I also love the historical character of the building. Highly recommend this hotel for people looking for the slower, less touristy side of San Francisco.
