My party of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were 3 seniors, 6 adults, and 1 toddler. Paradisus was a wonderful place for us to meet, since we don’t all live in the same state. I loved that we didn’t have to plan—just packed our bags and went. The staff went above and beyond to maintain the property, making it feel untouched every day. They were accommodating and friendly, and I appreciated that they spoke both Spanish and English. I loved practicing my Spanish with the staff, most of who were willing to help me improve my language skills. The restaurants felt high-end with thoughtful decor, the service was outstanding, and the food was delicious. My favorite restaurant was Lemon Fish—I went twice! We stayed 5 nights and I felt like we got to try most restaurants. It’s not necessary to leave the property because they have everything you need for activities, entertainment, and relaxation, but a couple of us took a taxi to el centro do so some souvenir shopping. It was end of May and blistering hot, just keep that in mind. It’s nice that the resort has AC to escape to. I miss the staff and resort already! I’ll definitely recommend Paradisus playa del Carmen to anyone who wants a luxurious but affordable all inclusive resort experience. It was my first time experiencing something like this, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

A wonderful stay with an amazing Concierge. Request Jonathan! He was amazing, great with the kids, set us up right, checked on us daily, and felt like a fun uncle to the family. Alright, now the review: We stayed at the Family concierge with Swimout pool. Our location of the room in the pool was splendid. We had dual lounge chairs and ample pool before the main walk way. Definitely better than some other room locations. The room was spacious; had a very large pullout our two girls stayed in, a kitchenette, dining room table, and a large master bathroom with large Roman tub and a huge shower with dual rain shower faucets and handheld faucets as well. There was also three sinks to the bathroom, a kids area and adults. Plenty of storage in this specific room!!! The food throughout was one of the better all inclusives we have been too, while the buffets are the average food, the restaurants were more upscale or elegant plates. Felt more like a restaurant on the Las Vegas strip than Mexico. The food at these restaurants were much better, and the service was outstanding almost every time. We had an awesome waiter at the Bana Family(Jhony) algo went above and beyond to take care of our picky daughters. And Neomi At Cielo Mexican restaurant was awesome As well. Very attentive and gave us some much needed advice the first night. The buffets were pretty empty when we went(end of May to first week of June), Eva was amazing, we looked for her everyday and was the friendliest and helpfu

Everything here is excellent. Our family Concierge was Jorge and he went above and beyond with our accommodations and with beautiful surprises each day for our little girls. Jorge was only one text away on Whatsapp and sent daily events and activities for the whole family. He went out of his was to book our restaurant reservations and excursions. Windy at The Lunch Box is so sweet and always looking to help you with any questions you have. Irwing from Flora was the best server we could have asked for. The lobster and steak was chef's kiss. We will certainly be back!

Overall everything was good! Food was good!l everywhere we are. Service was good! We were able to get reservations most nights, but for us were only available during the night shows/kid activities. So some nights we chose the buffet so we can watch the shows. There is definitely a lack of activities for ages 10+. The game room is super small and little to do during the day besides the pool/water activities.

Our family of 5 absolutely loved our stay, we will definitely be back next year. The staff was very informative, welcoming, and generous. I just wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks for the special care and attention given to our daughter during our stay. We are especially grateful to the chef (Rogel) for thoughtfully accommodating her egg allergy. He made her egg free meals and brought it out to our table. Pablo, our table server was also very accommodating and helpful. It made a world of difference to know she could enjoy her meals safely and confidently. We truly appreciate the effort and kindness shown, and it certainly made our stay all the more enjoyable and stress-free. We stayed there 05/11-05/14, the resort was very clean and kid friendly, we also took family photos, which we loved as well. Thanks again, we really appreciate it.

First things first. We were quite disappointed with the food at this resort. Our experiences in Mexico have always been very good with the food and this was the first time where we were quite disappointed. The Italian restaurant was decent, the hibachi grill was good. The buffet in the morning was pretty good for breakfast but lunch and dinner at the buffet was very hit or miss. Not a very good selection to be honest and all around disappointing. As for people and workers, they were fantastic for the most part. The rooms were fantastic, we enjoyed those very much. We picked a good week because it was quite quiet for five out of the seven days. Another thing that we were quite frustrated about was we have two kids and we were not told that there would be an annual maintenance for the whole week that we were there on the kids pool/area by our rooms. This would have definitely affected our decision on going to this resort or not. We have been to other resorts in the area that were cheaper when we were booking and one of the advantages to this resort was the awesome looking kids area and pool. It was open on the Sunday when we arrived and on the Monday it was closed for the rest of our stay. No one mentioned this at the front desk when we were checking in so as you can imagine it was quite a surprise. When you pay $7000 for four people, you expect stuff like this, not to be an issue. I definitely don’t think I would ever go back to this resort.

I feel bad leaving a negative review but This was such a poor experience, I feel like people with young kids need to know. We were a group of 11. 3 families with a total of 6 adults and 5 kids, 2 under 2 years old. I don’t want a generic response from the resort, I just want young families to know. Pros - Nice large rooms - Staff are friendly. - Nightly entertainment is better than most resorts, the kids liked it. - Beach is cleaner than most resorts Cons - Food poisoning in our group on two separate days. When we let the manager know they said “food poisoning does not exist on this resort”. - Food even without food poisoning is well below average for resort food. Not much selection and very little for kids. - A la carte reservations were all very late, even if you get to the reservation counter as soon as it opens. Difficult with young kids and impossible to have a group dinner with our group of 11. - The pirate ship pool was open the first day and we spent the whole day in it and was closed from day 2 to the end of the vacation with no heads up. Our group had 5 young children so we were left to the large pool with nothing for kids. The water park is geared towards big kids and unfortunately our kids didn’t enjoy it. - Staff opened our room door even with the do not disturb sign on. I was changing in 2/3 of the instances. This was very uncomfortable. - Loud wedding right outside our window one night. - Constantly trying to upsell, it gets tiring.

Very nice hotel room. Great staff that went out of there way to accommodate us when there was a slight miscommunication. Good food options and activities. Clean safe and well maintained. Our son loved the water park...and so did we! We definitely recommend this hotel.
