Thanks to Andres, our stay at this hotel became one of the most amazing experiences we had in Mexico. Be sure to book the Family Concierge package—it's absolutely worth the price. The hotel offers direct access to a beautiful beach and also allows access to a neighboring resort, Paradisus La Perla, which is a great added bonus. Please note that the hotel does not provide transportation, so you'll need to arrange it separately.

Far from airport, but worth it to be close to Playa del Carmen and all the attractions. Room was large and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Large breakfast buffet with good food. Complimentary room service for breakfast. Lots of restaurants with good food. Nice pool. The cons - mosquitoes in the room. We would kill a few every night, but would miss one, who would feast on my son while he was sleeping. They clearly fly in when the maid props open the door. Closing the door would be a good preventative measure! On the fifth day, someone showed up asking if we wanted our room sprayed, so was clearly a problem in all rooms. Wish I had known to request on the first day. There are also a ton of coatis roaming around the pool, and rummaging through trash cans. They are cute, but they are wild animals that can bite. Wouldn't want to stay here with small children, as I would constantly be trying to prevent them from petting them. Also had raccoons on the path to our building. Because of the open architecture, one entered our lobby, pulled down the garbage can by the elevator, and scattered garbage all over. We had to wait until it left before going up to our rooms, since we didn't want to risk being attacked. Was also one lying on the stairs. So every night we had to creep up to our room looking for raccoons who might be in our path. I don't think the adult-only section had the same animal problem.

Room cleanliness good. Staff needs more connect to the guests. Amenities are just ok compared with other all inclusive resorts. Lack of vibe overall , music can be improved such as louder in pool area so that it bring out the mood of guests when they are enjoying their relaxing time irh drink. The cleanliness for being on the family side was impressive. So many kids and kid activities, my 7 yo had a great time. The spa was amazing. The restaurant food wasn’t great but the buffet was great!

There was a shortage of staff that was more evident during the lunch and dining hours as often only one waiter would be in charged off too many tables which resulted in long waiting times (10-15min) to just get drinks. Main issue is that all pools were so cold (~76-78 degrees Fahrenheit) that my 4-year old daughter refused to go in any of them. We specifically booked a Family Concierge room because we understood the Family Concierge pool would be heated during the winter (our stay was from 12/27/2025 to 1/3/2026); however, this is absolutely not the case. We complained about it multiple times and nothing was done to resolve the issue. From speaking with other guests, it was clear that many of them were upset about the cold pools as well. While the beach is nice, food is decent (for all inclusive), and service is fine, the cold pools everywhere (including the pool connected to our Family Concierge swim out room, the family friendly pirate ship pool, the water park, the Family Concierge pool, etc.) ruined our vacation. There literally isn't a single warm pool on the property and there also isn't a single hot tub on the property where you can go to warm up after being in the cold pools. If you want a hot tub, you need to go back to your hotel room and fill up the bath. Extremely disappointing experience at Paradisus Playa Del Carmen and still in shock that we couldn't find a single warm pool at the resort. We will not be returning and would not recommend this hotel to anyone if you are visiting during the winter months and want to spend any time a pool.

We stayed at Paradisus Playa del Carmen and had an excellent experience overall. The resort truly deserves five stars. Our room was spotless, and housekeeping was outstanding. Every day while we were out, the staff cleaned the room, refreshed the bed sheets, and made it feel like the first day again. The pool area was very clean, well organized, and never felt crowded. Poolside service was attentive, and the drinks were high quality. The pool buffet and lunch options were delicious, with great variety and fresh ingredients. Chefs and staff clearly cared about food quality and presentation. The main buffet was open from morning until late evening and offered a wide selection. In addition, there were several specialty restaurants with very good food, and reservations were generally manageable. The beach area was clean and relaxing, with towels, a beach bar, and activities like kayaking included. Entertainment and shows were enjoyable and added to the overall experience. A few small cons: shows were held in different locations each night, so following the schedule was sometimes confusing. Also, some restaurants closed briefly between meal times, and the main pool and pool bar closed around 6 PM, which felt early. Bars in family areas also closed around 10–10:30 PM. Overall, these were minor issues in an otherwise fantastic stay. We would happily return and highly recommend this resort. Booking through Expedia was smooth, and staff professionalism made the vacation stress free.

Everything was perfect. The only complaint is the pool water temperature was too cold. Also only one area had a railing into the large pool. It was difficult for me and anyone else that has a handicap. The staff were great and very accommodating.
