Disappointing stay

This was unfortunately my first hotel experience that wasn’t pleasant. I stayed here for six days, and during that time my room was only cleaned twice. The bed wasn’t made, and I didn’t receive new towels regularly. On top of that, the room didn’t feel very clean—there was hair in the shower when I arrived. When I asked about the lack of cleaning, the staff mentioned something about not providing housekeeping on weekends, which didn’t make much sense to me. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that doesn’t offer daily room service, fresh towels, or at least basic tidying. Overall, it just didn’t meet the expectations I had for comfort and cleanliness during my stay.

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and modern, the airport shuttle was much appreciated. But what most impressed us was the hotel's modern decor! We definitely would consider this hotel if ever in the Phoenix area.

First of all,despite the description on Hotels.com, they do not really have airport shuttle. It is kind of “on demand” according to the really unhelpful front desk person. Then - the WXYZ bar that is the only place on the property to eat and drink was closed - for how long is anyone’s guess. They had a horrible little shop set up with disgusting snacks, for sale - and empty coffee urns. They suggested that I go to Burger King (down the street in a really sketchy area, with homeless people fighting in the street) or the Crown Plaza Hotel (same great neighborhood). The room was okay - comfy and nice amenities, but on a very noisy highway. Not at all as advertised.

Disappointing Stay

The front desk greeting was lackluster as if I intruded into his peace. Not really sure, but was informed that the attendant's name is John. After going to the room that was a handicap accessible that I did not request, my guest and I discovered the bathroom floor was not clean. We informed the front desk attendant, on our way out to dinner. He said it would be taken care. He offered another room; well, we had already gotten ourselves situated and changing rooms would have been an inconvenient option. After driving 3 hours, we wanted to get dinner and retire for the evening. After dinner, returned to our room and immediately noticed it had NOT been addressed. After driving several hours to the airport, I was too tired to wait for someone to come if I called, and I was too exhausted to go to the desk. Another issue I had that there was a lot of LOUD door closing as well as LOUD traffic noises.It disturbed the both of us. Neither of us would be considered LIGHT sleepers. I frequently travel out of PHX for family functions and leisure purposes and I will neither consider nor recommend this property upcoming travel.

Besides the convenient location and value, this contemporary property was aptly appointed for a desert getaway. Snug and stylish accomodations plus a pool, gym, vibrant bar and shop. Luis at the front desk made our stay exceptional! Helpful, considerate and accommodating. . . team members like him are an excellent example of hospitality and why guests return.
