We are from Green Valley AZ and wanted to check out Arizona Grand for a future family reunion (16 from 4 states). Poor check in process - gave NO info on resort (where pools -Camelback pool was FREEZING- , , towels, ice machines, internet connection, how get into Oasis and what available activities. NO concierge to give ideas of what to outside. I had spent hours talking . to staff pre visit to see rooms for possible reunion and no one knew anything at our check in! Finally after arriving and next day being “routed” to EIGHT people finally we got a golf cart driver (Matt was the ONLY friendly person we encountered) who showed us some rooms. Our room was really not nice and quite outdated and rather shabby with plain furniture and dull carpets. It was hard opening bathroom door with door bumping on toilet. There were no wine glasses available and frig was set at 45 degrees keeping husbands required meds too warm. Ouch and chairs and even bed were not comfortable - I came home with a backache. Friendliness was VERY lacking - lifeguards were ignoring and did not give help and not friendly, I was very disappointed in staff responses to guests. On a positive note - we did enjoy the Rustlers Roost and Matt our golf cart guide was friendly, sweet and helpful. The grounds were very well kept up and beautiful. The Camelback pool was very very cold when I went in to do some water aerobics. Do not know why it was not heated ? We still are considering the reunion

Mixed Feelings

Our only regret was that the Oasis was closed before we had a chance to even try it. W e were charged a $90 resort fee for something we didn’t even get to enjoy. Our boys were so looking forward to an evening on “the lazy river”, but it never happened. So it would have been nice if we hadn’t been charged that $90.

The facility is great! Kid loves it！ The only complain is our check-in experience! Front desk gave us keycard to a room that’s already occupied by another family so we were not able to get in. And the security come and help us get in and we noticed that the room is occupied and immediately get out. But I cannot imagine if I’m away and they just let other people get in my room like that.

This is a beautiful place with a vintage charm and lovely staff! The grounds are huge! The lazy river was so relaxing and good for families and those who didn’t bring theirs. The spa was so nice! The staff went above and beyond for my mom and I. The only downside was the option for the shampoo and body wash- I wasn’t sure there was conditioner, it may have been there but just not well described. It was lemongrass, which was very strong scented. It’s nice that they use natural products, I just didn’t care for the smell. That was just a small point- it didn’t take away from my overall experience! This was a gem in Phoenix!

Beautiful complex and very family friendly. Hotel employees very helpful and knowledgable. Only complaint would be the parking is too far from some rooms, otherwise we enjoyed our stay

Tv guide programming wasn’t working. Hot water was a challenge. The pull out couch had sheets and blankets already on it when we got there and there was a clump of hair on the sheets! Housekeeping never came to our room (we were there two nights). They were mulching trees at 7:30 am outside of our window. They wanted to charge $6 for a bottle of water in the room! I wouldn’t stay here again. It was overpriced and outdated.

Hot tubs were cold, elevators were not working. Check in was at 4 and the Oasis closed at 5. Our shower curtain was busted and broken. We have stayed here several times and this was by far our worst stay.
