Exceptional service!

My husband and I had never stayed here before but it was in the right location for our overnight visit to the city. After booking, I called the hotel with some questions and the person i spoke with, Tina, could not have been nicer. She took the time to answer all my questions. Also, I requested a high floor and she said she'd do her best, and she did. We had a great room on the top floor and enjoyed sitting by the window at night and watching all the city lights. Additionally, from the moment we got there, the service was top notch. Josh and Juliette at the front desk were so helpful. They went of their way to make us feel welcome. We enjoyed chatting with them about our favorite city restaurants. We were celebrating our birthdays and when we got to our room, there was a birthday card and gift. How thoughtful. As for the room, the suite was spacious, clean and bright and had everything you need for a short stay. The rooms were comfortable too. The next day, we had more great service from Juliette. She went out of her way to help us once again. We can't say enough good things about the service we received from the friendly staff. We only chose the AKA due to it's proximity to Rittenhouse Square and the fact that our favorite Philly hotel had gotten so expensive, but we had such a lovely experience, we are are already planning our return trip. Thank you AKA for a wonderful weekend!

We stayed here over the July 4th weekend. It's located in a great area. You are in a great part of the city that is walkable and situatied close to aLOT of great eateries. The Room was nice and large, the bed was comfortable, bathroom was nice and large. The kitchen was the perfect size if you wanted to cook. the living room is a good size. The furniture in the living room needs to be refreshed as the fabrics needed to be cleaned. The couches were not comfortable, it was almost like sitting on a hard wooden bench with a very thin cushion. Although the furniture wasn't the greatest, don't let this stop you from staying at this Hotel. The other feature out weigh the small downsides.

Positive: -Staff was super friendly and helpful. A+ for all of them. -Location was fantastic. -Rooms were very clean. Negative: -A lot of rooms don't have blackout blinds so they're bright. They offered to move us without us asking so that goes on the positive list. They moved us to a room they said was an upgrade but we lost our huge kitchen, seating and big counter space. Felt very much like a downgrade but it was still worth it for the blinds, so we didn't complain. -our bathroom toilet was broken. Maintenance supposedly fixed it but it wasn't. It needed the internal flapper replaced. My husband had to fix it after every time we flushed. For three days.... -Bathrooms TINY. I mean seriously small. Also, no surface room to set things down. -Bathroom sinks too small so they splash water all over, flooding the miniscule shelf they have. We would not stay there again but if clean rooms and great staff is all you need to be happy this hotel will fulfill your requirements.
