Upon arrival, the hotel & room were nice. However, the water pressure in the shower was terrible. The floor in the room was so slippery, I actually fell. There was no top sheet on the bed and the bed was uncomfortably mushy. Lastly, despite the fact that check out was at 12pm, someone from the hotel was knocking on my door at 9:30am which was an issue due to a late night at the philly game. I discussed these issues with the manager. He said he would check into the issues but regarding the no top sheet, he said that is a French...He gave me a credit for the parking & resort fee (total $100). While I appreciate the gesture, it didn't exactly compensate for the terrible night I had.

I've stayed here numerous times. I'm a fan of the location and it's a beautiful property. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. We had food leftover from dinner, and I was upset to see there is no refrigerator in the room. I went down to the desk to inquire about it and was pleasantly surprised when they said they would send one up to the room. That's good to know for our next stay here.

Sofitel Rittenhouse....Still An Amazing Place to b

Staying at the Sofitel at Rittenhouse Square is always amazing. My opinion.... it's the best place and the best location to stay in Philadelphia. The lobby was redone since my last visit and it looked amazing. The room itself could use a bit of updating as it's beginning to show its age (but who isn't). The bed is still amazing, and the entire staff couldn't be nicer or provide better service.

Great location in downtown Philadelphia. Beautiful lobby/ sitting area. Friendly staff. In-room decor was a bit dated (90s) but clean.

The only real difficulty was gettin a printout of my bill at the end of the stay. Twice I asked for it, and twice I was told I owed nothing. While the balance may have been put on the card, I needed an expense account. I was told Inhad to go to Expedia for that. I spent and hour on the phone with Expedia and they had no ide what the charges on my credit card were for, and certainly had no invoices or copes if anything ! I do not know what the charges on my cc are for and needed to show something to my manager. Otherwise everything excellent

Nice hotel, but atrocious valet parking

Room was lovely and clean (except clogged shower drain, but staff responded quickly). Location great. Picking up the car from the valet was AWFUL. It took over an hour and a complaint to management to get our car. Many others had been waiting nearly an hour. Lead valet just told people to "hang tight" or "you have to wait." Valets brought wrong cars. There was a 20 minute gap for one family who requested two cars at the same time. They were seriously understaffed for what they acknowledged they knew would be a busy day. Parking garage is 1-2 blocks up the street at another hotel. Valets should have been running, but only ambled slowly each time to retrieve the next car. Hotel manager initially shrugged it off as if not their problem and said "it is a third party service", but eventually refunded our $69 fee when we passed the 45 minute wait mark (but we still waited another 20-25 minutes for the car). Very disappointing for a high end chain with a reputation for impeccable service. They need to do better.

Lobby looks great, rooms are a bit older. Reception service was good, but valet parking moved things around in our car and gas was out - which made us suspect they used our car not just for parking (things that were on the passenger seat moved to the back?!)
