Great hotel in a great location

I am generally a really big fan of the Sofitel family of hotels and The Sofitel Rittenhouse is no exception. Great location (it's in the center of everything) and superb service. It is an older hotel, so the rooms are little dated and there is obvious wear and tear on the furniture, but the beds are still the best beds to sleep on in the industry (in my opinion). If you don't mind a little retro charm to your hotel, then this place is great.

A truly good hotel is about excellent, “transparent” service. Everything is just exactly how you would hope it should be. Immaculate property, friendly staff, great amenities. This was the perfect property for us to wind down at as we came off a eeek of business travel. I can recommend highly.

Was disappointed in a previous stay at this hotel. Decided to give it another chance. Since I stayed there last the hotel lobby and bar underwent an extensive makeover. It greatly improved things. Staff was courteous and attentive. Room was nice too. Overall very positive experience

I was assigned a handicap room which means shower is not at the right height and closet the same way! At check in they should let you know this..
