Comfortable but could use a touch more cleanliness

The bed was comfortable. Cleanliness is a bit to be desired. The first room we received was smelling musty and then we realized that the carpet was wet in almost a quarter of the room. Luckily, we were able to switch rooms quickly thanks to the service at the desk. Nonetheless, the carpet was not thoroughly cleaned in either room - i found crumbs and trash under the bed. The ice machines was broken but they did do a replacement in days. The hotel can use a facelift and definitely some top tier cleanliness.

Stuff was good, location as wll. But room was not fully cleaned, windows area was dirty, bathtub was clogged, no sleepers, even for the pool area. Lets just say that pool is there for the check mark on details.

The staff were incredibly helpful and nice. The servers at the breakfast buffet were really engaging and friendly. The location was good if you want to see all the historical sites. It was a little far (about 15 min) from the main shopping area near Chestnut. All in all good experience.

Property is old and hallways smell like pot. Another review mentioned this and I can confirm it’s accurate. Room was serviced only twice out of our 6 day stay. Staff were generally friendly though. If you want to have a pool though, this is one of the only options in the area. Be advised, the pool is not heated and will be chilly unless the outdoor air is very warm (90 F or more).

Overall, this property is great for visiting the historic sites of Philadelphia. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. Our bathroom was not clean, however. In addition to needing a good sweeping and mopping, the tub had a lot of hair in the corner.

Hotel is nice. Beds are great. Resturant is bad in the evening. The waitstaff just looks at you. Takes forever for them even notice you. We just left.
