The room itself was OK. Somewhat run down, shower rod was crooked with 2 of the 4 attachment screws missing, There was a fire in the electrical room on the night we stayed. Not a false alarm, an actual fire with Orlando fire fighters on the scene. Some people evacuated outside, some to the lobby, some just stayed in their rooms. I went outside initially then back to the lobby when the firefighters arrived. This all happened around 1:30 AM. We were staying at the hotel so we could be at the airport around 7AM. So we did not get a good night's rest. With all of this happening the hotel should have provided some sort of compensation, at least a discount. They did not, and have not responded to my message. I may send a letter to see if I get a response. In any case, I DO NOT recommend this hotel!

We were looking for a convenient place to stay for an early flight that had a shuttle. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was large, had comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, breakfast bar, couch, TV - it would have been a great place to stay for a few days. Although the hotel is older, they've done a good job maintaining and modernizing it. And I loved that the rooms did not have carpets. Although the hot breakfast did not start until 6:00 (and we were leaving on the 5:30 shuttle, they still had breakfast items like yogurt, pastries, etc available. The shuttle was a quick 10-15 minutes to the airport. I definitely would stay there again - it exceeded my expectations and was a very reasonable price (I believe around $200 CAD per night)

I understand the room rate was affordable, but it is the last time I make that trade here. The facilites are not in good shape. The carpet in the hallway has a strong bacterial smell, guests were rushing to get in the elevator to avoid it. The room was dated - floors and surfaces (other than bathroom and sink) are not clean. You can tell the are doing the bare minimum to get by.
