I walked in and the lobby was under construction. When I booked my hotel the pictures showed a hotel with vibrant colors and all amenities functional. When I arrived the lobby, restaurant and bar was under construction I didn’t know if I was in the right place. The whole stay I could not use the amenities that attracted me to the hotel. I wish I was informed prior to check in because my stay was not what I expected and when I checked out Friday the lobby was finally clean enough to actual sit down and have a cup of tea/coffee. The only thing that was enjoyable was the size of my room. The gym was also under construction and was not available to any guest. It was a real safety hazard, yes there were paper signs to use the back door but the construction woke me up every morning so I couldn’t sleep in if I wanted to.

We had not been notified that the hotel lobby Wouk’s be under construction so there was no breakfast or othe food service and then no lobby for sitting without fellow travelers. In addition the hotel had a unique way of turning off the room hall light but there was no posted notice of such and we only found some to explain it on day 2.

Would have been great to know they we remodeling. Made a reservation for a king bed, but they didn’t have it when I arrived. No bar, restaurant or anything besides dust, carps, cold coffee and a brown bag with a bottle of water, a fruit and a pastry. Who designed this micro drawers?

I love how close it is to Universal Studios. I also appreciate all the different shopping and dining options. The hotel is welcoming, modern decor, friendly staff and clean rooms. Breakfast is also included (I did not get to eat there, but it is available).
