My bff and I were a little concerned by recent reviews but as soon as we arrived and were able to check in early at 2pm for our three night stay, we felt so happy with our choice - rooms were clean, breakfast was great - it was basic but given it was complimentary was wonderful - we had to wait for a table for a few mins as there were not many but was all good. Coffee was good and bagels and waffles were great. Complimentary water station with lemons was available to fill up water bottles was a handy extra. We asked the day before we were leaving whether we could possibly have a later checkout due to our flight time and immediately advised that was no problem whatsoever to check out at 12 rather than 11. All staff were lovely. I wonder if sometimes bad reviews are an indication that people writing them are sometimes not courteous themselves? Shout out to all day $5 frozen margaritas at Mickey Spillanes bar!! Would highly recommend comfort inn midtown manhattan. Great proximity to broadway shows in Times Square - around 15 mins depending on how many people are around as New York is very busy!! 10 min walk to subways to get around everywhere. We loved it!

The staff was very helpful in keeping my bag while I explored the city. The room was small but good for a place to sleep that is walking distance to Times Square. My only dislikes were the lack of shower space and limescale in the shower. It’s ok for a short stay in the city

Would definitely stay here again, however, I would request a room on a higher floor. We were on the first floor off of the lobby and it was very noisy. But the property and staff were wonderful.

Great hotel in New York City

This hotel should represent the way a reasonably priced hotel is run in New York City. I have stayed in several other hotels, and this one met many high standards, including maintenance of items and room cleanliness. I would try to stay again here if I could.

Convenient location

Location is about 10 minutes walk from Times Square (literally walk straightalong 48th street without turn and you’ll get there) very convenient. And parking is cheaper in this area.

If you're going on a cruise it's only a two block walk downhill to the pier. It was about a 15 min walk to Times Square. We had a room off the elevator on the 3rd floor and it was surprisingly quiet. I was a little disappointed that our room wasn't refreshed when we came back at 3pm so opted for just fresh towels. One plus on the service end was that the coffee maker wasn't working and it was replaced within ten minutes. There's a breakfast included but both days we went down an hour after it started and there was no hot food left or coming out. We had a bagel and coffee. We chose not to make the toast or waffles. Because of the location I would definitely stay before a cruise. Oh yes the desk clerks were very friendly.

Breakfast area is chaotic. The few options available would run out quickly and so you would be waiting for items to be restocked. But around 9:30am don’t expect anything to be restocked as it’s close to closing. Overall it’s a good basic hotel.
