"Tropical paradise"
Overall, this is a top quality resort with a very calming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Its right on the shore-line (I won't call it a beach) and with the deck-chairs aligned close to the water, you literally feel like you're in paradise, especially in the late afternoon when the sun has lost its bite and is about to descend over the horizon. The sun turns a fiery red and photo opportunities are mind-blowing. Our experience was definitely enhanced by the brilliant blue skies and warm breeze every day, without the intense humidity you get with Bali or Phuket. The room was clean and well presented but was looking a bit tired in the bathroom. The king-size bed however was to die for. It was like sleeping on a cloud. Could have easily spent the whole trip in that bed. Wish I had one at home. My only criticism was the dining. The breakfasts were exceptionally good but I felt the dinner options were limited. There were two restaurants but one had limited menu choices and the other offered a concoction of Asian dishes from Thailand , China, India, all rolled into one menu. Not really an option unless you love Asian food. But this didn't worry us too much because there were any number of high quality restaurants in the vicinity of the resort, some within walking distance. Overall, we thoroughly enjoy our stay and would not hesitate recommending this resort to our friends / family.

"Average resort. The price says it all."
The resort was fine. The barman (Cookie) was very entertaining. A form was left in the room for any suggestions which we wrote screen door needed repair and it was carried out promptly. The only thing was the noise at night with barking and howling dogs behind the resort.

Nadi is the base for every service you could possibly need on Fiji, so you can't go wrong! Book a snorkelling or scuba tour to the coral reef, chase the next big one on a fishing charter or hire a sailboat and disappear into the horizon. The shopping in Nadi is great, and Main Street is the centre of the action. At the end of Main Street have a look in Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple and see the largest Hindu temple in the southern hemisphere. Thanks to the influence of Indian migrants who came to Fiji in the late 1800s, this temple is one of the few places outside India where you can see traditional Dravidian architecture.

Just outside of Nadi you have to visit the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. This fifty acre sanctuary is the best kept secret in the South Pacific. With over 2000 varieties of magnificent Asian orchids it's a wonderful place to spend a day wandering through the gorgeous greenery, calm lily ponds and trickling fountains. The highlight is definitely the orchids, but the walk to the base of Sleeping Giant Mountain is one everyone can enjoy.

15 minutes outside of the city the Sabeto Valley is a lush tropical paradise and a wonderful journey into rural Fiji. One of the most popular sights is the Sabeto Mud Baths, where locals believe the mud has many natural healing properties. To get the benefit come for a visit and immerse yourself in the natural spa experience. Continue on to Vuda Lookout, which from the top offers a 360-degree view and one of the best panoramas on the west coast of the island. On the way back to Nadi stop in at the village of Viseisei, which is fabled to be the first landing point of the original Fijian people who came and settled Fiji over 3500 years ago.

Visitors to Nadi discover the real heart of Fiji, and convenient access to the best this country has on offer. Whether you're looking to explore the beautiful underwater environment, relax on your holiday or dive into the culture - you'll find it all in the area around Nadi.
