Hotels In Marylebone

Wotif you escaped to London and stayed in the heart of all the action? Our Regent's Park hotels will place you right in the middle of the city and within easy reach of London's largest open area with plenty of fresh air.

History

Regent's Park is made up of 197 acres of wide open space, originally used as Henry VIII's hunting grounds and known as Marylebone Park at that time. Then in 1646, John Nash came up with a new design for the area and named it after the Prince Regent. Some aspects of his design were never built and others, like the Queen Mary Gardens, were added much later.

Things to do

Inside Regent's Park itself, you can play just about any sport imaginable at The Hub or visit the William Andrew Nestfield's Avenue Gardens. Make sure you set aside plenty of time to stop and smell the roses at Queen Mary's Gardens – all 12,000 of them!

Animal lovers will be delighted to know that the London Zoo is located inside Regent's Park! You'll also be thrilled by the Bird Walk, where you can see a huge range of wild birds in their native habitats. You may even spot some hedgehogs and squirrels around the park grounds.

Theatre buffs will love attending the Open Air Theatre in the middle of the park. This is the only professional outdoor theatre in all of the UK, so you're in for a real treat!

Shopping and dining

Once you've had your fair share of fresh air, you can move away from Regent's Park and head into Marylebone. Here you can wander around Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and the Sherlock Holmes Museum. But Marylebone is best known for its fantastic shopping and restaurants, so have your credit card handy.

Getting here and around

Take advantage of these cheap flights to London and then get around on buses and the Tube – it's that easy!
