Nice, but below par for the brand
The location of this property is great, right on the water and about 2mins walk to the Aquarium and many restaurants. We were on the backside of the building facing Lombard street and could clearly hear the cars... at all hours. Also, we asked to not be on a dog floor (it is a pet friendly hotel) and heard a dog across the hall barking for hours. Luckily the owner came back around 9pm. The breakfast was horrible -- I mean really not good. We got there at 730a, 30mins after opening and the eggs were cold, oatmeal was solid and the muffins were just store muffins. Even my daughter didnt eat the choco-chip muffin -- imagine that! And for $30 for adults, it was unacceptable. The room was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom, but the body wash thingy was empty. Also the heater made this weird clicking rattling noise on/off all night. The pool is nice, but not that there aren't any bathrooms near it and its a hike to the elevator, and the water is COLD. There were lots of towels there. The gym had a lot of equipment in great condition. Abby at the front desk was super nice and fun with my kid. This place does not warrant the premium brand nor price. Next time, will deff stay elsewhere.
