Hotel was outstanding! Clean, very comfortable bed and linens. Had a small issue with hot water in the morning but they fixed it very quickly. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds 2 months before our reservation, and when we checked in they said they gave our room to someone else. They explained that the hotel was overbooked, and we were grateful to have a room, but instead of two queen beds we had a king and a pull out bed. This was kind of a major let down when you book a room 2 months in advance to accommodate for yourself, your partner, and another couple. They did give us free breakfast and parking, and don't get me wrong we were very appreciative. However, not to be dramatic but it is really annoying. When we spoke with the front desk attendant, we explained our frustration and said free breakfast doesn't make up for the fact that we were supposed to have 2 comfortable beds and she said "well do you not want the free breakfast." so end of story, I'll never go back again but it was clean.

Overall my stay was good, I would note that when I first came in the shower was not as clean as I would have liked. There was still hair and some soap scum around from the previous stay. The next day cleaning staff did well and were friendly. Pool was clean and useable and the shuttle bus was convenient as well.

Two Day layover to explore downtown LA

Room was perfect. Spacious and comfortable. Very clean and good quality. Would stay here again HOWEVER the food in the restaurants is way overpriced. Would highly recommend using the LA METRO - 15min walk away and takes you all over. SUPERB!

The Sonesta Los Angeles LAX is at the top of the list for hotels near LAX. The staff is courteous and helpful. It's a good value.
