The people who work there are very nice. The bedroom was clean and the toilets was always clean too. It has a really good location.
The room (pod) was clean and fresh, and surprisingly quiet, the one downside was the temp even with the air con on, it was hot.
The showers, and toilets see clean and staff were efficient.
But where else in London can you get room in central London for £30

The capsule was very clean and comfy and the staff friendly
Overall, great stay if you are only staying for one night and it’s a solo trip. The location is convenient and the price is cheap.
However, they do charge for almost everything. They charge for renting a lock and to rent a towel (£5), also charge for any check in and out amendment and luggage facility. So basically everything.
There’s no Aircon there, but there’s an air filter. Which means you get purified air. But you do get very stuffy in there. It’s not the cleanest as it’s really dirty under the bed. Dusts, bits and bobs. Great day for the price and the location. But not ideal if you travel together with someone for more than one day.
On the evening of arrival reception staff were dismissive and impolite. We had asked to be put in a mixed dorm as there were three of us and we wanted to be together. We would have been understanding if we were told that it was fully booked and there was no availability but our answer was just “I've put you in the women's dorm now”.
The pods were clean and set up nicely but my outside lock did not work which meant my stuff was not secure when I went to the toilets. It looked like this was the case for quite a few of the pods because my friend had to call reception staff up to fix his.
On the second night at 4am someone tried to open my pod from the outside. I messaged the reception and a lady did come up to assure me everything was alright and occasionally drunk women try to get into the wrong pods, she walked me to the toilets. When I made my way back to the block my capsule was in, there was a man waiting to go in and assumed to follow me in. I told him I wouldn't let him in and had to use my nails to pull the door closed behind me.
Again, I messaged the reception team, the app did not let me scroll so I could not see replies, they did not reply for 20 minutes asking for my capsule number, they knew it the first time. My reply was delayed by being unable to scroll. The next message I received from them was at 6:21am saying they were glad the problem was resolved.
I didn't feel safe and I would not stay again or recommend it.
Cocoon capsules are not for the claustrophobic, but once you are over the enclosed nature, and the clambering to get in to the capsules, the actual bed is very comfortable. The little fan that brings air in is a bit noisy, but as it is “white noise” it shouldn’t affect your sleep.
If you are wanting to go out whilst
Very affordable but facing some teething issues. The place felt a bit hard to navigate- the lobby felt pretty hidden away and the lifts seemed to never arrive. The lock on my capsule didn’t work either so I had to bring my luggage with me.
For the price it’s hard to beat though, and definitely something I’d consider doing again.
I wasn't given the capsule I booked. Booked Female capsule which slightly costs more than mixed ones but didn't give me back the difference insisting it was the issues by Hotels.com. I did online checkin as I got instruction email by the hotel - well, via Hotels.com. There should've been some data mis-matching, which is not MY fault, more like between theirs and this Hotels.com data transfer system.
So be careful upon check-in if you book female pod from here. Better message the hotel for reconfirm before checkin. They said they'd investigate what happened, there was another case in a week. From following night, they said they move me to female pod (I originally booked) but didn't do anything about my 1st night.
Mixed pod area was quite safe so my stay itself was okay. Capsule was slightly bigger than expected. No wait time for toilet / shower. I didn't like the shower room - hope they replace the shower head. You can get slippers, earplugs, water, little snacks by vending machine. No tea / coffee / hot water facilities on site as far as I saw. Bins are for everything, no bin for recycling.
